Remember that this user manual may also apply to other models. Differences between models are explicitly described in the manual.

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude as to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral tri- angle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.

  • Clean only with a dry cloth.

  • Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s in- structions.
  • Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  • Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

  • Unplug the apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  • Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the unit has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
  • Icon This equipment is a Class II or double insulated electrical appliance. It has been designed in such a way that it does not require a safety connection to electrical earth.
  • The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing. No objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
  • Minimum distance around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation is 5cm.
  • The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers,table-cloths, curtains, etc…
  • No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
  • Batteries should be recycled or disposed of as per state and local guidelines.
  • The use of apparatus in moderate climates.

Caution

  • Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those described herein, may result in hazardous radiation exposure or other unsafe operation.
  • To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not ex- pose this apparatus to rain or moisture. The apparatus must not be exposed to dripping or splashing and objects filled with liquids, such as vases, must not be placed on apparatus.
  • The mains plug/appli-ance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device must remain readily operable.
  • Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Warning

  • The battery (batteries or battery pack) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
  • Before operating this system, check the voltage of this system to see if it is identical to the voltage of your local power supply.
  • Do not place this unit close to strong magnetic fields.
  • Do not place this unit on the amplifier or receiver.
  • If any solid object or liquid falls into the system, unplug the system and have it checked by qualified personnel before operating it any further.
  • Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this may damage the finish. Use a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth.
  • When removing the power plug from the wall outlet, always pull directly on the plug, never yank on the cord.
  • Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance will void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
  • The rating label is pasted on the bottom or back of the equipment.

A Party Speaker

  1. Place your tablet and phone.

  2. Party Link button
    Press to enter Party Link pairing mode.

  3. TWS pair button
    • Press to enter True Wireless Stereo(TWS) pairing mode.
    • It work only when you have two identical speakers.

  4. Mic 1 Vol+/- knob
    Adjust microphone volume.

  5. Mic 2 Vol+/- knob
    Adjust microphone volume.

  6.  Echo +/- knob
    Adjust the microphone echo level.

  7. Bass +/- knob
    Adjust bass level.

  8. Vol +/- knob
    Increase/Decrease the volume.

CONNECTION

Connect Power
Risk of product damage!

  • Make sure that the power supply voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the back or the underside of the product.
  • Risk of electric shock! When you unplug the power cord, always pull the plug from the socket. Never pull the cord.
  • Before connecting the AC power cord, ensure you have completed all other connections.

Party speaker
Connect the mains cable to the AC~ socket of the party speaker and then into a mains socket.

Note:

  • If there is no power, ensure the power cord and plug are fully inserted and the power is turned on.
  • Power cord quantity and plug type vary by re-gions.

Use the Audio in/Audio out Socket
With this product, you can listen to an external audio device such as an MP3 player.

Play from an MP3 player

  1. Connect an audio input cable (not supplied) with a 3.5mm connector on both ends to:
    • The Audio in socket on the unit.
    • The headphone socket on the MP3 player.

  2. Play audio on the MP3 player (refer to its user manual).

Audio out
This unit has an Audio out socket. You can output the analog stereo audio signals to external devices such as an active speaker.
Connect an audio cable (not supplied) to the Audio out socket on the unit and the audio in socket of the external device, and the unit will output audio automatically to the external device.

Use the Mic 1/Mic 2 Socket
Connect a microphone (not supplied) into the Mic 1/Mic 2 socket of the party speaker.

MAIN OPERATION

Turn On and Of
Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to switch on/off the unit.

Tips:

  • The speaker will turn off automatically after 15 minutes without user operations and music playback.
  • Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if you want to switch the speaker OFF completely.

Adjust the Volume
Rotate the Vol +/- Knob on the unit to increase or decrease the volume.

Adjust the Bass Level
Rotate the BASS +/- Knob on the unit to adjust bass level.

Adjust the Treble Level
Rotate the Treble +/- Knob on the unit to adjust treble level.

Adjust the Ultra Bass
Press the Ultra Bass button to switch on/off the Ultra Bass.

Adjust the Brightness

  1. Turn speaker light on or off.
    In power on mode, press the Light button repeatedly to switch among different light modes of speaker light.

  2. Change brightness
    Press and hold the Light button for 3 seconds to change speaker light brightness.

Adjust microphone volume
Connect a microphone (not supplied) into the Mic in socket of the unit, and adjust the microphone volume by turning the Mic 1/Mic 2 +/- knob.

Adjust echo
Adjust the microphone echo level to your desired level by turning the Echo +/- Knob.

Demo mode:
Enter demo mode

  • In standby mode (Plug the AC power cord), press and hold the and button at the same time, The unit can be activated the demo sound.

Note:

  1. If you want to listen the demo sound longer, you can press the button to repeat the demo sound.
  2. Rotate the Vol +/- Knob on the unit to increase or decrease the demo sound volume level.

Exit demo mode

  • Press and hold the button for 3 seconds the unit will go to standby mode.

BLUETOOTH OPERATION

Note:

  • The operational range between this player and a Bluetooth device is approximately 8 meters (without any object between the Bluetooth device and the unit).
  • Before you connect a Bluetooth device to this unit, ensure you know the device’s capabilities.
  • Compatibility with all Bluetooth devices is not guaranteed.
  • Any obstacle between this unit and a Bluetooth device can reduce the operational range.
  • If the signal strength is weak, your Bluetooth receiver may disconnect, but it will re-enter pairing mode automatically.

• Reconnecting the last connected device

  1. Press the button to switch the to Bluetooth mode.
  2. On the Bluetooth device, switch on Bluetooth, search for and select “Grundig PartyHit Max” to start connection.
  3. Wait until you hear voice prompt from the party speaker.
  4. Play music from the connected device.
Short press Start, pause or resume play
Long press Ultra Bass Previous track
Long press Next track

To disconnect the Bluetooth function, you can:

  • Switch to another function on the unit.
  • Disable the function from your Bluetooth device.
  • Press and hold the button on the unit the LED indicator blinks blue.

Tips:

  • Enter “0000” for the password if necessary.
  • If no other Bluetooth device pairs with this player within three minutes, the player will recover its previous connection.
  • The player will also be disconnected when your device is moved beyond the operational range.
  • If you want to reconnect your device to this player, place it within the operational range.
  • If the device is moved beyond the operational range, when it is brought back, please check if the device is still connected to the player.
  • If the connection is lost, follow the instructions above to pair your device to the player again.

USB OPERATION

By connecting a USB mass storage device (e.g. USB flash drive) to this speaker, you can enjoy the device’s stored music through the speaker.

  • To pause or resume play, press the button on the speaker.

Tips:

  • The unit can support USB devices with up to 64 GB of memory.
  • This unit can play MP3.
  • USB file system should be exFAT/FAT32.

TWS OPERATION

Two speakers can pair with each other for stereo sound.
Tips:

  • TWS is worked only if there are two identical party speakers (Grundig PartyHit Max).

Select master speaker manually

  • Press and hold button for 3 seconds to power on both speakers and enter to Bluetooth pairing mode.
  • Select one speaker as master and connect to Bluetooth.
  • Press the TWS button on both speakers to enter stereo pairing mode (TWS).
  • When TWS is connected, you will hear a voice prompt.
  • To exit TWS, press and hold the TWS button on either speaker.

Select master speaker automatically

  • Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to power on both speakers.
  • Press the TWS button on both speakers to enter stereo pairing mode.
  • To exit TWS, press and hold the TWS button for 3 seconds on either speaker.

Note:

  • During TWS pairing mode, both master and slave speaker will return to previous state automatically after 1 minute without user operations or TWS pairing is not successful.

PARTYLINK OPERATION

The speaker can connect up to 80 party speakers together and play audio at the same time.

Enter PartyLink mode

  • Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to power on party speakers and enter to Bluetooth pairing mode.
  • Select one speaker as master and connect to Bluetooth.
  • Press the PartyLink button on all speakers to enter PartyLink pairing mode.
  • When PartyLink is connected, you will hear a voice prompt.
  • Press and hold the PartyLink button on master speaker. All speakers will exit PartyLink mode.

Note:

  • During PartyLink pairing mode, slave speaker will return to previous state automatically after 1 minute without user operations or PartyLink pairing is not successful.
  • No timeout on master speaker.

TROUBLESHOOTING

To keep the warranty valid, never try to repair the system yourself. If you en- counter problems when using this unit, check the following points before requesting service.

No power

  • Ensure that the unit is fully charged or connected with a power source.
  • Ensure that all the required cables are securely connected.
  • Ensure that the unit is switched on.
  • To save power, the unit switches to standby automatically 15 minutes after a play reaches the end and no control is operated.

No sound

  • Adjust the volume.
  • Check the sound input source.

Cannot display some files in USB device.

  • The number of folders or files in the USB device has exceeded a certain limit. This phenomenon is not a malfunction.
  • The formats of these files are not supported.

USB device not supported.

  • The USB device is incompatible with the unit. Try another one.

About Bluetooth device.
The audio quality is poor after connection with a Bluetooth-enabled device

  • The Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the device closer to this product or remove any obstacle between them.

Cannot connect with the device

  • The Bluetooth function of the device is not enabled. Refer to the user manual of the device for how to enable the function.
  • This product is already connected with another Bluetooth-enabled device. Disconnect that device and then try again.

The paired device connects and disconnects constantly.

  • The Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the device closer to this product or remove any obstacle between them.
  • For some devices, Bluetooth connection may be deactivated automatically as a power-saving feature. This does not indicate any malfunction of this product.
