- Only use the appliance once it is fully assembled.
- When cleaning and emptying the blender jug, watch out for the sharp blades.
- Never touch the edges of the blades with bare hands.
- Keep packaging material away from children.
- Do not let children play with packaging material.
- Keep small parts away from children.
- Do not let children play with small parts.
- Follow the cleaning instructions.
- Clean surfaces that come in contact with food before each use.
Avoiding material damage
- Do not operate the appliance at no load.
- Do not exceed maximum processing quantities.

Rotary switch
The rotary switch is used to start and stop processing and select the speed.

- max Highest speed: Blending, puréeing, emulsifying, frothing, and cutting up food.
- pulse Instantaneous switching (pulse function): Highest speed as long as the rotary switch is held in this position.

Safety systems
Start lock-out
- Start lock-out prevents your appliance from being switched on accidentally.
- You can switch on and operate the appli-ance once the blender jug has been correctly positioned and the lid is locked.
Overload protection
The overload protection system prevents the motor and other components from
being damaged through being overloaded.
Operation
General information
Please bear this information in mind so that you can get the best out of your
appliance.
- Observe the recommended quantities, settings, processing times, and other information. “Application examples”.
- Fill the blender jug and the To-Go blender jug in the following order: liquids, seeds and nuts, fresh fruit and vegetables, leaf vegetables, frozen fruit and vegetables, and ice.
- Before blending in the blender jug, cut the ingredients into cubes approx. 2 cm in size. For the To-Go blender, the jug is cut into cubes of approx. 1 cm.
- Use instantaneous switching to blend ingredients only briefly or in intervals.
Setting up the appliance
- Place the appliance on a stable, level, clean, and flat work surface.
- Adjust the power cable to the required length.
- To shorten the cord, push it into the cord storage compartment.
- To lengthen the cord again, pull it out of the cord storage compartment.
- Do not insert the mains plug.
Preparing the blender jug
Notes
- Check the seal on the EasyClick blade insert. If a seal has been removed, reinsert it correctly.
- The seal remains on the EasyClick blade insert for cleaning. If the seal is damaged or not correctly positioned, liquid may run out. Fig. 2 – 4.

Automatic programmes
programs Automatic The speed and processing time for different operations are
controlled by the automatic programs.
Program buttons
The required automatic program is started with the program buttons.

Using the programs
Requirement:
Appliance and blender jug or To-Go Blender jug are prepared.
- Set the rotary switch to on. → Fig. 29
- The status display (LED) on the rotary switch lights up.
- Press the required program button. → Fig. 30
- The status display goes out and the LED on the program button selected lights up.
- When the end of the program is reached, the appliance stops processing. → Fig. 31

- Set the rotary switch to 0. → Fig. 32
Tip:
To stop the program prematurely, either press a program button or set the
rotary switch to 0.
Overview of cleaning
Cleaning of Overview Clean all parts immediately after use so that residues do not dry.
- Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol or spirits.
- Do not use sharp, pointed, or metal objects.
- Do not use abrasive cloths or cleaning agents.
- Never set the blade insert down with the blade facing downwards.
Tip:
Use the cleaning program to clean the blender jug. → “Automatic programmes”.

Note:
With the examples marked within the tables, leave the appliance to cool down
to room temperature after 3 operating cycles.

Note
Restrictions on processing in the blender jug:
- Do not use it to chop ingredients like almonds, onions, parsley, and meat.
- It is only possible to mix spreads, such as peanut butter, coconut butter or nut spreads, with the pusher.
- The blender cannot be used to make mayonnaise.
- Never mix ingredients without any liquid.
- Use enough liquid when mixing solid food.
- Mix powdered food with sufficient liquid before blending, or dissolve it entirely in liquid. Examples of powdered food include icing sugar, cocoa powder, roasted soybeans, flour, and protein powder.
- Add ingredients in the following order: liquids, dry products, fresh fruit and vegetables, leaf vegetables, frozen fruit and vegetables, and ice.
- If the ingredients in the blender jug are not going around and being properly mixed, use the pusher to press the ingredients down.
Sample recipe
Sports drink
Ingredients:
- 250 g honey (cold, 7-9 °C)
- 5 g cinnamon
- 200 g milk (warm, 65 °C)
Preparation:
- Add the honey and cinnamon to the blender.
- Blend the ingredients for 5 seconds at level max.
- Add the milk.
- Blend the ingredients for 5 seconds at level max.

Troubleshooting
The appliance is not working.
The mains plug of the power cord is not plugged in.
-
Connect the appliance to the power supply.
The circuit breaker in the fuse box has tripped. -
Check the circuit breaker in the fuse box.
There has been a power cut. -
Check whether the lighting in your room or other appliances are working.
The status display (LED) flashes.
The lid or blender jug is not locked or was removed during processing.
- Set the rotary switch to on.
- Place the blender jug on the main unit and turn it clockwise until it engages.
- Turn the lid in the direction until it engages.
- The color of the lock indicator for the lid changes from red to green.
The program was canceled using the rotary switch.
- Set the rotary switch to on.
The appliance has a humming sound.
The blade is blocked or stiff.
- Set the rotary switch to 0.
- Remove the blockage.
The appliance switches off during use.
Processing quantity is too big or processing time was too long.
- Set the rotary switch to 0.
- Reduce the processing quantity.
- Allow the appliance to cool down to room temperature.
The program does not start.
The rotary switch is not set to on.
- Set the rotary switch to on.
The program has been canceled using the program button.
- Set the rotary switch to on.
- Press the program button for the required program.
Liquid is leaking from the blade insert.
The seal between the blender jug and the blade insert is missing.
- Insert the seal on the EasyClick blade insert.
- The seal is seated in the groove.
- The sealing lips point in the direction of the blender jug.
- The smooth sealing surface lies against the EasyClick blade insert.
The assembled To-Go blender jug cannot be placed on the main unit.
To-Go blade insert is not screwed on correctly and the safety catch prevents
it from being put on.
- Turn the To-Go blade insert clockwise as far as possible. → Fig. 21
The markings must match up.
The lid on the To-Go blender jug is leaking.
The seal is missing from the lid.
- Insert the seal.

- Unplug the appliance from the mains.
- Cut through the power cord.
- Dispose of the appliance in an environmentally friendly manner.
