  • At the end of the song, out jumps an adorable plush kangaroo.
  • It’s sure to delight with every pop and it’s a wonderful way to teach cause and effect.
    • Size: 8″L × 5½” W × 5½”D. Requires 4 AA Batteries.
    • Weight: 1½ lbs.

Operation

  1. Kangaroo requires four AA batteries. Use alkaline batteries only (e.g. Duracell or Energizer brand). Do not use rechargeable batteries or any other type of batteries because they supply lower voltage and the unit will not perform properly. Never mix old and new batteries or different brands or types.
  2. Gently turn the unit to face the battery compartment. Carefully remove the screw from the battery compartment cover using a Phillips head screwdriver, and lift the cover off. Observing proper (+) & (-) battery polarity, install four AA size batteries into the holder. Replace the battery compartment cover and screw.
  3. Connect the Kangaroo to any external capability switch via the jack, located next to the battery compartment. Kangaroo is equipped with a 1/8-inch jack, for use with capability switches with a 1/8-inch plug. If you need to use a 1/4- to 1/8-inch adapter use our No.1170 adapter. If purchased elsewhere, it must be a mono adapter, not a stereo.
  4. Now actuate your external capability switch and continue to actuate it to start the song “Pop Goes the Weasel’’. When it reaches the end of the song Kangaroo will pop out.
  5. The music will only continue playing while the external capability switch is activated. Once you release the switch, the music will stop. The music has to reach the end of the song before Kangaroo pops out.
  6. To play again, push the Kangaroo back into the box and push the lid of the box down until it locks closed.

Troubleshooting

  • Problem: Kangaroo does not pop out or there is no music.
  • Action #1: Rotate (spin) the batteries within the battery compartment to ensure a good connection. Check that all batteries are installed properly.
  • Action #2: Check all batteries for freshness, if weak or dead replace with new batteries. Use an alkaline battery (E.G. Duracell or Energizer brand).
  • Action#3: Make sure that you have you’re the external switch plugged in. There should be no gaps.
  • Action#4: Try your external capability switch with another toy/device to rule out the switch as the source of the problem.

Care of the Unit:

  • Kangaroo can be wiped clean with any mild household multipurpose, non-abrasive cleaner and disinfectant. We recommend Simple Green, which is a nontoxic biodegradable all-purpose cleaner.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, as they will scratch the surface of the unit.
  • Do not submerge the unit, as it will damage the electrical components.
