Ensure the Busy Box Traffic Light is properly connected to a power source.
Press the power button to turn on the traffic light.

The battery holder is located under the blue cover at the bottom of the unit. Remove this cover by turning the screws counterclockwise with a screwdriver. Next, remove the small Phillip’s screw from the battery compartment and slide the cover off. Observing polarity, install two C batteries into the battery compartment. Alkaline batteries are required (Duracell or Energizer brands etc.). Do not use rechargeable or heavy-duty batteries because they supply lower voltage and the unit may not perform as well.
Set the ON/OFF slide switch located on the back battery compartment to ON. Replace both the battery case cover and the blue cover. Snug down the screws, but do not over-tighten.

Problem: The unit fails to operate, or operates inc correctly.
Action: Make sure there are no obstacles or dirt tween the colored plates and the housing of the unit.
