Operating Instructions Manual All-Purpose Slicer
Congratulations on the purchase of your new JUPITER kitchen appliance. You have chosen a high-quality, modern appliance. Further information on this and other products is available on our website at www.jupiter-gmbh.de.
This appliance is intended for slicing bread, sausage, cheese, etc. in normal domestic quantities in a domestic environment or domestic-like non-commercial applications. Domestic-like applications include, for example, use in staff break rooms in shops, offices, agricultural and other commercial businesses, small hotels, and similar residential facilities. Only use the appliance for normal domestic processing quantities and periods. The appliance is maintenance-free. Please read the operating instructions and, in particular, the safety notes, before using the appliance for the first time. Keep the operating instructions safe and always store them with the appliance.

The blade of the manual all-purpose slicer is very sharp! Handle it with care.
- Children should not use the appliance. They should not play with it either.
- This appliance may be used by persons with physical, sensory or mental disabilities, or by those who lack experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the dangers involved.
- The appliance may only be repaired by JUPITER customer service.

Assembly/Set-up
CAUTION Sharp parts can cause injury!
The blade of the manual all-purpose slicer is very sharp! Handle it with care.
- Screw the 4 suction feet C into the thread of the base plate D and press the all-purpose slicer onto the table.
- If required, push the table clamp into the borehole H of the base plate and use it to secure the all-purpose slicer to the table top/worktop (thickness approx. 2 – 6 cm).
- Screw the crank handle B clockwise onto the crank handle thread until the blade turns.
Removing/installing the blade
CAUTION Sharp parts can cause injury!
The blade of the manual all-purpose slicer is very sharp! Handle it with care.

Remove the blade locking screw G by screwing it out counterclockwise.
INFO: Use a suitable screwdriver or a coin to do this. The direction of the opening is marked on the locking screw with an arrow (AUF OPEN OUVRIR). -
Remove the blade F carefully.

It can be reinstalled using the same steps in reverse order.

Lubricate the teeth of the blade and the crank drive with a little cooking oil or fat.
IMPORTANT: When fitting the plastic ring of the blade holder, line up the grooves in the ring with the ribs on the housing.
IMPORTANT: When re-installing the blade, it is important to ensure that the teeth of the blade fit in with the teeth of the crank mechanism. -
Do not overtighten the blade locking screw!

Cutting food
CAUTION Sharp parts can cause injury! The blade of the manual all-purpose slicer is very sharp! Handle it with care. Pay particular attention to the position of your fingers when cutting food!
- Before using for the first time, thoroughly clean all parts of the appliance (see section Cleaning).
- Set the desired slice thickness using the adjusting knob E.
- Using your right hand, turn the crank handle clockwise.
- With your left hand, place the food to be sliced against the thickness guide and with light pressure push it slowly against the turning blade.
Cleaning
CAUTION Sharp parts can cause injury!
The blade of the manual all-purpose slicer is very sharp! Handle it with care.
NOTE Dishwasher can cause damage!
The appliance is not dishwasher-safe. Only clean the appliance using lukewarm water and washing-up liquid.
- Never immerse the appliance in water and never hold it under running water.
- Only clean the appliance using a damp cloth.
- Clean the blade thoroughly at regular intervals.
- To ensure that the suction feet have good adhesion, clean them regularly.
Storage
Store the appliance in its original packaging, in a dry, dust-free, and cool place that is out of reach of children. Subject to technical changes without notice; no responsibility is accepted for the accuracy of this information.
