Clean the Mouth Prop Before Use

The Open Wide Reusable Mouth Props are not sterile when packaged. Mouth Props should be cleaned using an ultrasonic cleaner or manually with a brush, a mild detergent and water, removing all organic or inorganic matter prior to placing in the autoclave. The Mouth props are autoclavable by either steam or chemical methods. Note that the maximum temperature is 285 degrees Fahrenheit. The saliva ejector is meant to demonstrate how it is used with the mouth prop, and is not autoclavable. Replace if you notice signs of wear or deterioration of the wedge.

Push it through the hole until it exists at the handle end of the prop. Connect to the suction device. Adjust the mouth end of the saliva ejector for desired placement.

  • Insert the narrow end of the saliva ejector into the hole at the tapered end of the prop.

  • Floss may be tied through the hole of the tab handle for retrieval if necessary
