Installation Instructions

• Use pliers with wide jaws to connect the metal plates of the GK8SC connector.
• Cut UltraLux LED strips using sharp and stable scissors only at the designated cutting location.
• Always disconnect the power before cutting the strip if it’s connected to a power source.
• Cut perpendicular to the length of the strip for smooth and even edges.

Connecting LED Strip to Connector

1. Insert the LED strip into the connector by sliding it into the channels with LED chips facing towards the metal plates.
2. Mind the polarity – red wire connects with +, black wire with.
3. Gently press the strip towards the connector to ensure full insertion without bending the strip.

Using Pliers for Connection
Take pliers and grasp the bottom surface of the connector and metal plate. Squeeze gently and moderately without applying pressure to the strip ends to avoid dislodging it.

• Why should I always disconnect the power before cutting the LED strip?
  Disconnecting the power ensures safety during the cutting process and prevents any electrical hazards.

• What happens if I cut the LED strip in places other than the designated cutting location?
  Cutting in other places may result in segments not lighting up, difficulty in installing connectors, and potential damage to the strip.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

• Use pliers whose jaws are as wide as or wider than the metal plates of the connector.

• The GK8SC connector is designed to connect UltraLux LED strips with a width of 8 mm to the power supply unit.

• When cutting the strip, use sharp and stable scissors.

• Cut the strip only at the cutting location (in the middle of the copper pads).

• If the strip is connected to a power source, always disconnect the power before cutting.

• Always cut perpendicular to the length of the strip.

• The cut edges should be smooth and even.

• Never cut the strip in places other than those indicated, because:

  1. The segments after the connector will not light up.
  2. Installing the GK8SC connector would be impossible.

• Insert the LED strip into the connector by sliding it into its channels. Pay attention:

  1. The LED chips should face towards the side of metal plates.
  2. Mind the polarity – the red wire should connect with the +, the black one with the -.
  3. Gently and carefully press the strip towards the connector to ensure that the connector is fully inserted. Be careful not to bend the strip.

• Take the pliers with one hand. Position the jaws to grasp the bottom surface of the connector and the entire metal plate.

• Squeeze gently and moderately. During this operation, ensure that no pressure is applied to the ends of the strip, which might cause it to dislodge from the connector.

• After this operation, you will notice that the squeezed plate has indented inward. Repeat the operation with the other plate.
