The following instructions explain how to operate your Westclox digital alarm clock.
INSTALLING OR REPLACING THE BATTERIES (FOR THE CLOCK)
- Remove the battery compartment cover located on the back of the clock by using your index finger to gently pull down on the latch until you feel the cover release and open.
- Install three fresh alkaline “AA” size batteries into the battery compartment. Make sure the polarity is correct by following the (+ or -) symbols engraved inside.
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
IMPORTANT:
- Extended storage can cause batteries to leak and damage the unit. Leaky batteries should be discarded immediately. Skin burns or other personal injury can result. Always dispose of batteries according to federal, state and local regulations.
- Do not mix old and new batteries
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (ni-cad, nimh, etc) batteries
INSTALLING OR REPLACING THE BATTERIES
(FOR THE WIRELESS OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR)
Note : The wireless sensor comes installed on the optional mounting bracket.
- Remove the sensor from the bracket by holding the back of the bracket in one hand and with your other hand pull the sensor away from the bracket.
- Remove the battery compartment cover located on the back of the sensor by sliding the cover in the direction of the arrow marked on the cover.
- Install two fresh alkaline “AA-size batteries into the battery compartment. Make sure the polarity is correct by following the (+ or -) symbols engraved inside.
- Replace the battery compartment cover. The sensor should then be reattached to the mounting bracket

SETT ING THE TIME & YEAR

Press and hold the TIME / CALENDAR set button located on the front of the clock for 3 seconds to enter the TIME and CALENDAR setting mode. The hour digit will begin to flash indicating your are in the time setting mode.

Intermittently pressing and releasing the ADJUST button will advance the hour for the time of day in one hour increments. Press the ADJUST button as necessary until the correct hour is displayed.
Note: If you are in the 12 hour time format, be sure you are in the correct AM or PM time period. When the “PM” indicator appears on the display, the time displayed is in the 12 hour period between 12:00 noon and midnight. -
Press the TIME / CALENDAR button to exit the hour setting and enter the minute setting mode.

Intermittently pressing and releasing the ADJUST button will advance the minute for the time of day in one minute increments. Press the ADJUST button as necessary until the correct minute is displayed.

Press the TIME / CALENDAR button to exit the minute setting and enter the year setting mode.

Intermittently pressing and releasing the ADJUST button will advance the year in one year increments. Press the ADJUST button as necessary until the correct year is displayed.

Press the TIME / CALENDAR button to exit the year setting and enter the month setting mode.

Intermittently pressing and releasing the ADJUST button will advance the month in one month increments. Press the ADJUST button as necessary until the correct month is displayed.

Press the TIME / CALENDAR button to exit the month setting and enter the date setting mode.

Intermittently pressing and releasing the ADJUST button will advance the date in one day increments. Press the ADJUST button as necessary until the correct date is displayed.
Note: The day of the week will automatically set according to the month, date, and year. -
Press the TIME / CALENDAR button to exit setting mode.
Note: If no settings are made within 30 seconds, the clock will exit the setting mode and automatically return to the normal time display mode. If this happens, you will need to start the setting procedure again from step 1.
SETTING THE ALARM TIME
Note: The clock has two alarms. Be sure you are setting the correct alarm by checking the ALARM TIME indicator “Alarm 1” and “Alarm 2” above the alarm time display. Only one alarm time indicator will be shown at a time.

Select the alarm you wish to set by pressing the ALARM 1 / ALARM 2 button located on the front of the clock to select one of the two alarms.

Press and hold the ALARM 1 / ALARM 2 button for 3 seconds to enter the ALARM TIME setting mode. The hour digit will begin to flash indicating your are in the alarm time setting mode.

Intermittently pressing and releasing the ADJUST button will advance the alarm minute in one-minute increments. Press the ADJUST button as necessary until the correct minute is displayed.

Once the desired alarm time is set press the ALARM 1 / ALARM 2 button to exit the alarm setting mode.
Note :
- Follow steps 1 – 5 to set both ALARM 1 and ALARM 2.
- If no settings are made within 30 seconds, the clock will exit the setting mode and automatically return to the normal time display mode. If this happens, you will need to start the setting procedure again from step 1.
ACTIVATING THE ALARM ON/OFF
- The turn the alarm on press either the ALARM 1 ON / OFF or ALARM 2 ON / OFF button located on the front of the clock. According to which alarm on/off (1 or 2) is activated, the ALARM ON indicators will appear on the digital display indicating the alarm is activated.
- To turn the alarm off, press either the ALARM 1 ON / OFF or ALARM 2 ON / OFF button located on the front of the clock.The ALARM ON indicator will no longer be shown on the display indicating the alarm is deactivated.
USING THE SNOOZE
To use the snooze, press down on the SNOOZE/LIGHT bar located on the top of
the clock when the alarm is sounding. The alarm will be silenced temporarily,
but will resume sounding after 5 minutes.
USING THE BACKLIGHT
Press SNOOZE/LIGHT bar located on the top of the clock to activate the display
backlight. The backlight will stay on for 5 seconds each time the SNOOZE/LIGHT
bar is pressed.
SWITCHING BETWEEN 12 & 24 HOUR TIME MODES
Press the TIME/CALENDAR & 12/24 button to switch between the 12 and 24 hour
formats. SWITCHING BETWEEN °C AND °F TEMPERATURE FORMATS Press the °C and °F
button to switch between °C and °F temperature formats.
OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE WIRELESS SENSOR
The wireless sensor should be placed outdoors within 90 feet (30 meters) of the clock. It should also be placed outdoors in an area where it will be protected from direct rain and / or direct sunlight. You may choose to mount the wireless sensor on a wall using the mounting bracket (included) as shown in the diagram below.
The wireless sensor can also be used to sit on a table by using the fold out stand that is built into the mounting bracket. Simply fold out the stand as shown in the diagram below.
SETTING THE CHANNEL FOR THE OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR
The clock and wireless sensor must be set to the same channel to display the temperature information. The sensor is set to channel 1 by default.
- To set the channel on the clock, press the CHANNEL button located on the front of the clock to select channel 1, 2 or 3.
- To receive information from the wireless sensor, press and hold the SEARCH button for 3 seconds until you hear a beep. The clock will receive temperature information in approximately 5 – 10 seconds.
Troubleshooting
If no temperature information is not shown on the digital display, try the following solutions.
- Replace the batteries in the sensor
- Relocate the clock or sensor (the sensor must be within 90 feet of the clock.
- You may have other electronic equipment such as wireless computer keyboard or mouse that may interfere with the temperature sensor channel frequency. It is recommend to change the channel frequency on the sensor and clock. There is a small channel switch located inside the sensors battery compartment. Adjust the switch to a different channel.
Take note of which channel the sensor is set to. The clock will need to be set to the same channel in order to receive temperature information from the sensor.
MIN / MAX TEMPERATURE RECORDS
- Press the MIN/MAX button located on the front of the clock to display the maximum temperature record. The words “MAX” will be shown above the temperature indicating the temperature shown is the maximum temperature recorded.
- Press the MIN/MAX button again to display the minimum temperature record. The words “MIN” will be shown above the temperature indicating the temperature shown is the minimum temperature recorded.
- Press the MIN/MAX button again to return to the current temperature display
- To clear the maximum and minimum temperature records, press and hold the MIN/MAX button for 3 seconds until you hear a beep.
LOW BATTERIES
If the digital LCD display becomes dim, it indicates that it time to replace the batteries in the clock. When the low battery indicator is shown on the display below the channel indicator, it indicates that it is time to replace the batteries in the sensor.
USING THE TABLE STAND
The clock has a built in folding stand so the clock can be used on a desktop. Gently open the fold out stand and place the clock on a desktop as shown in the illustration below.
RESET PROCEDURE
In case of malfunction, the unit may be required to be reset. The RESET button is located on the back of the clock. Using a pin or paper clip press and hold the RESET button for 5 seconds to return all values to their default settings.

CARE OF YOUR CLOCK
- Store the clock without batteries when not in use.
- A soft cloth or paper towel may be used to clean your clock. Do not use corrosive cleanser or chemical solutions on the clock. Keep the clock clean and dry to avoid any problems.
- Avoid putting the clock in a highly humid environment such as poolside or in a bathroom.
- Do not expose the clock to direct sunlight, extreme hot or cold temperatures.
ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
NYL Holdings LLC warrants the original consumer purchaser of this product that it shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the purchase date of this product. Defects caused by tampering, improper use, unauthorized modifications or repairs, immersion in water or abuse are not covered by this warranty. If a defect covered by this warranty occurs during the warranty period, package your clock carefully and send it to the following address:

NYL Holdings LLC will not be liable for any loss or damages, including incidental or consequential damages of any kind: from any breach of warranty either expressed or implied relating to the product. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state.
