  • These vehicles have a digital amplifier option. Please reference the “Service Parts Identification” sticker located in the glove box for the RPO code UQA. If UQA is present, then the vehicle is equipped with a digital amplifier. Either use the AXDIS-CL2 interface, or bypass the amplifier.
    ** These vehicles have a digital amplifier option. Please reference the “Service Parts Identification” sticker located in the glove box for the RPO code Y91. If Y91 is present, then the vehicle is equipped with a digital amplifier. Either use the AXDIS-CL2 interface, or bypass the amplifier.
    † These vehicles are standard for a digital amplifier. Either use the AXDIS- CL2 interface, or bypass the amp.

CONNECTIONS

From the AXDI-CL2 harness to the aftermarket radio, connect the:

  • Black wire to the ground wire.

  • Yellow wire to the battery wire.

  • Red wire to the accessory wire.

  • Blue/White wire to the amp turn-on wire.

  • Orange wire to the illumination wire (if applicable).
    Note: There are (2) illumination wires. If the Orange wire on the 24-pin harness is populated on the factory side, use that wire instead.

  • Tape off and disregard the Orange/White wire, it will not be used in this application.

  • Gray wire to the front right positive speaker output.

  • Gray/Black wire to the front right negative speaker output.

  • White wire to the front left positive speaker output.

  • White/Black wire to the front left negative speaker output.

  • Green wire to the rear left positive speaker output.

  • Green/Black wire to the rear left negative speaker output.

  • Purple wire to the rear right positive speaker output.

  • Purple/Black wire to the rear right negative speaker output.
    The following (3) wires are only for multimedia/navigation radios that require these wires.

  • Blue/Pink wire to the VSS/speed sense wire.

  • Green/Purple wire to the reverse wire.

  • Light Green wire to the parking brake wire.

12-pin pre-wired AXSWC harness:

  • This harness is to be used along with the AXSWC (sold separately) to retain steering wheel audio controls. If the AXSWC is not being used, disregard this harness. If it will be used, refer to the AXSWC instructions for radio connections and programming. Disregard the harness that comes with the AXSWC.
  • The following wire(s) must be cut before programming the AXSWC:
  • For the following vehicles cut the White/Green, Green/Orange, and Orange/Green wires.
    ** For the following vehicles cut the White/Green, Pink, and Green/Orange wires.
    *** For the following vehicles cut the Pink and Green/Orange wires.
    † For the following vehicles cut the White/Green and Pink wires.
    ‡ For the following vehicles cut the Pink wire.

INSTALLATION

With the key in the off position:

  1. Connect the AXDI-CL2 harness into the AXDI-CL2 interface, and then to the wiring harness in  the vehicle.
    Note:If installing an AXSWC, connect it after you program and test the AXDI-CL2, with the  key in the off position.

PROGRAMMING

Attention! If the interface loses power for any reason, the following steps will need to be performed again.

  1. Cycle the engine on.
    Note: If the radio doesn’t come on within 60 seconds, turn the key to the off position, disconnect the interface, check all connections, reconnect the interface, and then try again.

  2. Cycle the ignition off, then back on.

  3. Test all functions of the installation for proper installation.
