- Not suitable for use in hazardous locations such as in the presence of flammable or volatile vapors.
- Do not use with extension cords or multi-plug adapters.
- WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device or dimmer switch.
- Do not use near cooking areas. This appliance is not intended to be used as an exhaust fan to remove smoke and grease resulting from cooking.
- CAUTION! Scent cartridge gel may irritate eyes or skin on direct contact. If eye or skin contact occurs, thoroughly flush with water for 20 minutes.
- If irritation persists, consult a physician or poison control center.
- Do not place the scent cartridge with the gel facing finished surfaces or damage may result.

This appliance is intended for household use only.
WARNING! Shock Hazard: This product is provided with a polarized (one
wide blade) plug to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug fits only one
way into a polarized outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the plug by
modifying the plug in any way or by using an adapter. If the plug does not fit
fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, have an
electrician replace the outlet. Do not use with extension cords or multi-plug
adapters.

How to use

Open the grill of the odor eliminator by pulling on the opening tabs.

Remove the plastic bag from the filter. Place the filter in the odor eliminator, fitting the notched corner of the filter around the notched edge of the odor eliminator.

Activate the time strip by pressing foil bubble. Place the timestrip in the timestrip slot. Red ink will be time-released.
When the indicator is full, it is time to replace the filter. A new time strip will be provided with the purchase of a new filter.
NOTE: The life of the filter is determined by use. If the odor eliminator is used continuously for strong odors, such as a cat litter box or diaper pail, it may need to be replaced at 1 month. If only used occasionally, such as in a guest bathroom, it may
last longer. -
Remove the scent cartridge and clip it from the plastic wrapping. Assemble the cartridge and clip; then slide the scent cartridge assembly into the notch on the back of the unit.
NOTE: Scent cartridges are optional accessories on select models. -
Close the cover of the odor eliminator until it snaps into place.

Plug in the odor eliminator.
NOTE: Outlets in older homes may not hold the odor eliminator securely. If the odor eliminator seems “loose” within the outlet, please contact a qualified electrician to replace the obsolete outlet. -
Slide the switch ON (located on the side of the unit).
NOTE: You may leave the odor eliminator on constantly or only use it occasionally for strong odors. The odor eliminator is designed to work best when plugged in within 6 feet of the odor source.
Cleaning
- Turn off and unplug the odor eliminator before cleaning.
- Wipe exterior housing with a clean, dry cloth only.
- To clean the grill, wipe with a damp cloth or use a vacuum cleaner to remove lint or debris.
- Do not use detergent, solvents, or spray cleaners.
Do not immerse the unit in water or other liquid.
To replace the filter, time strip, and optional scent cartridge
NOTE: A filter should last up to 3 months, depending on use.
- Remove odor eliminator from outlet. Open the cover of the odor eliminator and remove the used filter.
- Discard used filter. Remove the plastic bag from the new filter and install a new filter, fitting the notched corner of the filter around the notched edge of the odor eliminator. Use only Hamliton Beach filter, part numbers 04290, 04291, or 04294.
- A replacement time strip is provided with the new filter. Activate the time strip by pressing the foil bubble. Place timestrip in timestrip slot.
- The scent cartridge should last up to 30 days; replace when diminished. Use only Hamilton Beach TrueAir® Green Meadow scent cartridges, part number 04600.
- To replace, discard the used scent cartridge. Remove a new scent cartridge from the package and insert it into the clip. Slide the scent cartridge assembly into the notch on the back of the unit.

This warranty applies to products purchased in the U.S. and Canada. This is the only express warranty for this product and is instead of any other warranty or condition. This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of original purchase. During this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to us and our returning a product or component under this warranty to you. If the product or component is no longer available, we will replace it with a similar one of equal or greater value.
This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse. This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser or gift recipient. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim. This warranty is void if the product is used for other than single-family household use.
We exclude all claims for special, incidental, and consequential damages caused by breach of express or implied warranty. All liability is limited to the amount of the purchase price. Every implied warranty, including any statutory warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, is disclaimed except to the extent prohibited by law, in which case such warranty or condition is limited to the duration of this written warranty.
