10. Troubleshooting guide
10.1 The refrigerator does not work, the light does not work:
- The device is not plugged in
- The switch is in the off position.
10.2 The refrigerator is not cold enough:
- The thermostat temperature is not set correctly.
- Outdoor environment may require higher setting.
- The door is opened too often, or the door is not completely closed.
- The door seal is not tight enough.
- There is not enough space between the appliance and the walls behind and on the sides.
10.3 The refrigerator seems to be making too much noise:
- The rustling sound may come from the refrigerant flow, which is normal.
- At the end of each cycle, you may hear gurgling sounds due to the flow of refrigerant through your appliance.
- Contraction and expansion of the interior walls can cause cracking and crackling sounds.
- The device is not level.
Notes:
Avoid putting the device in damp places. If there is too much humidity in the
air, there will quickly be frost on the evaporator.
During periods of high relative humidity, condensation may form on the surface
of the refrigerator. This is not a malfunction. Clean the surface. If the
refrigerator does not work properly after all these checks, contact technical
service without further delay.
Keep the invoice or proof of purchase of the product to be able to use the warranty. If you have any questions during use, please contact your store.
11. Coldest area of the fridge
The symbol opposite indicates the location of the coldest zone of your
refrigerator. This zone is delimited at the bottom by the window of the
vegetable drawer, and at the top by the symbol or the shelf positioned at the
same height.
To ensure temperatures in this area, be careful not to change the positioning
of this shelf. In forced-air refrigerators (equipped with a fan or No Frost
models), the symbol of the coldest zone is not shown because the temperature
inside them is uniform.
Installing the temperature indicator
To help you properly adjust your refrigerator, it is equipped with a temperature indicator (delivered in the instructions bag) which will allow to control the average temperature in the coldest zone.
WARNING : This indicator is only intended for use with your refrigerator. Be careful not to use it in another refrigerator (in fact, the coldest zone is not identical), or for another use.
Checking the temperature in the coldest zone
Thanks to the temperature indicator, you can regularly check that the temperature of the coldest zone is correct. In fact, the temperature inside the refrigerator depends on several factors such as the ambient temperature of the room, the quantity of food stored, and the frequency of opening the door. Take these factors into consideration when adjusting the device.
When the indicator indicates “OK”, this means that your thermostat is correctly set, and that the interior temperature is correct.
If the color of the indicator is white, this means that the temperature is too
high, in this case you must increase the thermostat setting and wait 12 hours
to carry out a new visual check of the indicator.
After loading or opening the door, the indicator may turn white after a few
moments.
