AP6-Pro Alta Labs Powers WiFi and Home Networking in New Luxury Living
Community Instructions
Solace is a new housing community located in Santa Clara, Utah. The community
is being developed by New Wave Construction. The development is just outside
of the gorgeous new golf mecca, Black Desert Resort. Black Desert Resort is a
featured stop on the PGA tour and is home to a golf course designed by PGA
legend, Tom Weiskopf.
The Solace development will ultimately consist of 128 single-family homes and
56 townhomes. They are planning the build in 6 stages. As of this publication
in July 2024, they’ve completed 21 lots for Phase 1 and are currently working
on the 22 lots for Phase 2. Many residents have already moved into their new
home.
Utilizing Alta Labs Technology
Southern Utah is a beautiful area that is rapidly developing and has become a
highly competitive marketplace for homebuilders. In addition to maintaining a
high quality standard for their home builds, New Wave Construction was looking
for additional ways to stand apart from their competition.
After reviewing the offerings of other builders, there seemed to be a significant lack of new homes offered with a built-in high-performance Wi-Fi solution that home buyers could get excited about. A partnership with Alta Labs has allowed New Wave Construction to position their homes as ready for the current and future needs of high bandwidth demanding customers. Whether for streaming high definition movies and shows, connecting smart devices, or gaming with super low latency and response times, Alta Labs solutions have the customers covered.
“The Alta WIFI access points and switches work amazing! We have had very quick speeds and zero connection issues. ” – Hunter Moore, Solace Resident
Alta Labs AP6-Pro Access Points and S8-POE switches are being installed in
each home as finishing touches as they are completed. The S8-POE switches
provide Gigabit Ethernet speeds for hardwired devices and power the AP6-Pro
Access Points. Homeowners secure their own broadband service providers but
Stream Technologies connects the service to the Alta Labs equipment for the
homeowners.
Wireless network settings are also customized for the homeowners. Alta Labs’
patented Alta Pass™ technology allows homeowners to use a single wireless
network SSID with multiple passwords. Depending on the password used to
connect to the Wi-Fi network, the user is granted the appropriate access. A
password can be used to provide parents 24/7 internet access while children
use a different password and are limited to defined internet access hours. The
children can request additional time from their parents online.
Installing the Alta Labs S8-POE Switch
“The app is very easy to use. It’s really been great having this equipment in
our home, I would recommend it to anyone!”
– Hunter Moore, Solace Resident
S8-POE Installed
The target date for completion of the entire project is the end of 2025. A variety of floor plans are available and depending on the square footage, 2-3 Alta Labs AP6-Pro Access Points are deployed in each home. Typically a single S8-POE Switch is sufficient in each home but each install can be customized to the needs of each homeowner.
