Danfoss ECL Comfort 120 230V Regulator

The ECL Comfort 120 controller has been installed in your home to control your
heating.
During installation the following is to be considered and agreed with the
installer:
- Requested heating schedule
- Desired room temperature to be set up in the controller
- Night temperature to be set up in the controller
- Heating curve (the relationship between the heating system supply temperature and the outside air temperature)
- Summer cut-out (determine that at rising outdoor temperature, the heating will be reduced and at a certain outdoor tempera-ture turned off)
When the ECL Comfort 120 controller has been installed by a qualified and
authorized personnel there is usually no need for the end-user to operate it.
Your home will be heated according to the temperature that was selected during
installation.
The installer will use an installer app for the installation.
However, you as an end-user have the possibility to do some settings on the
controller.
Operation of the controller ECL Comfort 120 is possible via the button on the
controller.
Necessary assembly, start-up, and main-tenance work must be performed by qualified and authorized personnel only.
Safety note
The electrical device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
Operating the ECL 120 controller via LED indication
The ECL Comfort 120 controller has several different operation modes that
are indicated through LEDs in the front panel.
When the controller is active, the green status LED is active at the current
mode. Mode description can be found below. If there is no in-dication on the
device, please look in the trouble shooting section or contact your installer.
What do the symbols mean:
Function
If you want to change the mode press the interaction button.
Each short press (less than 2 sec.) will change the operating mode according to programmed sequence.
By pressing the button the next mode will become active. First it will blink green 3 times and then the mode will become active.
If the button is pressed more than 2 sec. the System LED will light blue. This indicates that the controller is ready for Bluetooth connection to the installer app. Commis- sioning and settings via the installer app is only to be performed by the installer.

Lights green in combination with another LED when active. Boost mode cannot be
activated when in saving mode.
Lights blue: Active for Bluetooth ( only for installers) Lights white: No
application / not commissioned Red blinking: Alarm. Please contact the
installer.

What to do if
It is too cold in the home and you want permanently heating
Function
By means of the boost function in scheduled/comfort mode, the supply
temperature to the heating circuit can be increased for a certain time.
By default boost has a period of 1 hour in scheduled mode. Hereafter the LED
will go back to comfort mode. In comfort mode boost is treated as permanent
active. Temperature reference value is by default 22 °C.
When you change the mode to increase the heating, the energy consumption will
rise.
To disable the boost mode press the interaction button to move through the
mode sequence.
It is too hot in the home
Function
The temperature reference is lowered (18 °C by default). If you want to
lower the temperature or turn the heating off press the interaction button to
move through the mode sequence and choose saving mode or frost pro-tection.
You leave your house for a longer period
Function
The temperature reference is 8 °C and the pump is ON. Yellow LED
indication.
To disable the frost protection press the interaction but-ton to move through
the mode sequence.
You go on holiday
Advise with your installer or use saving temperature or frost protection
mode.
The above indication and guide is presenting if you start pressing the
interaction button from scheduled mode. It might differ if you are in
different operating modes.
If you press to many times on the interaction button, just continue to press
and start all over again.
Troubleshooting
Incident | Action to be taken |

No light at all in the LEDs
| Please contact the installer.
Please check electrical power supply and braker.
White LED
| The device has to be commissioned by an installer.
The controller is indicating that there is no application at the device and needs to be commissioned.
Red LED (alarm)
| If the alarm is active (blinking), the controller has stopped, a critical
malfunction was detected. Please contact the installer.
No heating| Please check if there is an active LED indication on the
controller.
Please check electrical power supply and the braker.
Please check if the source of heating is active.
Please use the boost function to increase temperature.
Please change operating mode to comfort or scheduled.
Please contact the installer.
Temperature is constantly too low| Please check the operating mode of the controller (previous table).
Make sure that the heating source is active. Try to activate comfort mode.
Try to activate boost mode. Please contact the installer.
Temperature is constantly too high| Please check the operating mode of the controller (previous table).
Try to deactivate boost mode. Please contact the installer.
