Safety

CAUTION- Electric Shock Risk

  • To de-energize the equipment before servicing, more than one disconnect switch may be necessary.
  • A circuit breaker disconnecting the Line and Neutral conductor simultaneously is recommended.
  • Make sure the power is switched off at the circuit breaker before installing or removing any outlet.
  • Utilize a non-contact voltage tester to confirm the power is off.

Installation Requirements

  • Install the Smart Outlet exclusively in a suitable UL-listed outlet box with dimensions meeting the following criteria: H > 2.95 in/75 mm, W > l.87 in/46 mm, D > 3.75 in/80mm.

Terminal Screw Tightening

  • Ensure terminal screws are tightened to 73 lbs-in.

Wiring instructions

  1. Remove the Old Outlet
    Turn off the power at the circuit breaker, remove your old wall plate, and gently pull the outlet out.

  2. Disconnect the Wires
    Disconnect the wires from your old outlet.

  3. Connect the New Wires
    Connect wires to the terminals of the new outlet and tighten the screws holding the wires onto the terminals.

  4. Secure the New Outlet
    Secure the new outlet and wall plate with the screws provided.

  5. Make sure the outlet is installed in the correct position
    For a proper installation, ensure the Deco LED is positioned at the bottom.
