Product Usage Instructions

Intended Use:

This power outlet adapter is designed exclusively for extending a socket in dry indoor areas. It features three protective contact sockets with a maximum output power of 3,680W and two USB charging sockets with a maximum output power of 12W. The product is intended for private use only and should not be used for commercial purposes.

General Safety and Maintenance Instructions:

WARNING: Risk of Electric Shock! Ensure proper installation and avoid exposure to water or moisture to prevent electric shock hazards.

WARNING: Fire Hazard! Avoid overloading the product and do not connect devices with a total current consumption greater than 16A to the product. For the USB charging sockets, ensure that the total power does not exceed 12W or the total current consumption does not exceed 2.4A.

Maintenance & Cleaning:

Regularly inspect the product for any signs of damage or wear. Clean the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth if necessary. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the product in water.

General safety and maintenance instructions

WARNING

Risk of Electric Shock!

Faulty electrical installation or excessive mains voltage can lead to electric shock!

  • Do not use the product if it is visibly damaged.
  • Check the product and the electrical devices to be connected for integrity before each use. Damaged electrical appliances as well as kinked mains cables or bare wires increase the risk of electric shock.
  • The mains plug of the appliance must fit into the socket. The mains plug must not be modified in any way. Do not use adapter plugs together with protective earthed electrical appliances. Unmodified mains plugs and matching sockets re-duce the risk of electric shock.
  • Avoid physical contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, heaters, cookers and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed.
  • Do not open the casing. Leave repairs to qualified persons.
  • Do not immerse the product in water.
  •  Never handle the product or the power cord or plug with wet hands.
  • Never disconnect the mains plug from the socket by pulling on the connecting cable, but always pull on the mains plug.
  • Keep the product away from open flames and hot surfaces.
  • Position the product and the connecting cable so that it does not become a trip hazard.
  • Do not bend the connecting cable and do not lay it over sharp edges.
  • Never operate the product in damp rooms or in the rain.
  • Never position the product so that it can fall into water.
  • Never take hold of an electrical device which has fallen into the water.
  • Ensure that no fluids get into the product; dry the product thoroughly if necessarybefore using it again.
  • Ensure that children do not insert any objects into the product.
  • Devices that have another connection in addition to the power connection (e.g. antenna line, telephone line, etc.) must have their own overvoltage protection for this input. Plugged-in power supply units must not exceed a temperature of 50°C.
  • The prerequisite for proper functioning of the product is a functioning protective conductor connection of the wall socket (protective contact socket) at which the product is operated.
  • Do not expose the product to rain or extreme weather conditions, e.g. minus temperatures,\ hail, extreme heat.
  • Despite the high energy dissipation capacity, there is no absolute safety of the connected devices in case of direct lightning strike.
  • Only use the USB connection for IT devices.
  • Always switch the product off and disconnect it from the mains when you are not using the product, when you clean it or if it has a fault.
  • Never plug in several power strips in series.
  •  The product is only deenergised when the mains plug is pulled out.

WARNING

There are dangers for children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities (e.g. partially disabled persons, elderly persons with limited physical and mental abilities) or lack of experience and knowledge (e.g. older children).

  • Children above the age of eight and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lacking in experience and knowledge may only use the product under supervision or if they undergo a suitable briefing on the safe use of the product and they are aware of the associated risks and hazards. Do not allow children to play with the product. Do not allow children to clean or maintain the product withoutsupervision.
  • Keep children under eight years of age away from the product and the connecting cable.
  • Do not leave the product unattended while it is in operation.
  • Do not let children play with the packaging film. Children can get caught in the film and suffocate while playing.

WARNING

Fire hazard!

  • Keep the product away from water, other liquids, open fires and hot surfaces.
  • Do not cover the product with objects or clothing.
  • Keep the product at a distance of at least 5 cm from easily inflammable materials.
  • Never operate the multiple sockets while covered.
  • Make sure that neither clothing nor other objects are on the multiple socket.
  • Place the multiple sockets in such a way that no heat can build up through adjacent\ objects or furniture.
  • Keep the USB multiple sockets away from easily flammable materials and objects.
  • Do not use the multiple sockets in areas where there is a risk of explosion or fire.
  • Do not connect devices with a total power rating greater than 3,680 W or a total current consumption greater than 16 A to the product. For the USB charging sockets, the total power is 12 W or the total current consumption is 2.4 A.

Basic function

NOTE

Please check if the product is damaged before putting it into operation. If it is damaged, do not use the product!

Connecting electrical appliances

The product has 3x protective contact sockets, 2x USB charging sockets and a connection cable with a mains plug.

  1. Unwrap the connection cable completely.
  2. Insert the mains plug into an easily accessible socket outlet with earthing contact\ that has been installed in accordance with the regulations.
  3. Position the product on a suitable surface and make sure that the connecting cable is properly laid.
  4. Insert the plugs (protective contact type F CEE 7/4 or Euro plug type C CEE 7/17) of up to four electrical appliances into the protective contact sockets and/or up to two USB plugs of IT devices into the USB charging sockets.
  5. The connected devices are now supplied with power.

Cleaning and maintenance

Risk of electric shock! Always unplug the power cord before cleaning the product. Also disconnect all power plugs of the connected electrical devices from the product.\ Short circuit hazard!

Water or other liquids entering the housing can cause a short circuit.

  • Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
  • Make sure that no water or other liquids get into the housing.

Risk of damage!

Improper handling of the product may result in damage to the product.

  • Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning objects such as knives, hard spatulas, and the like. These can damage the surfaces.
  • Disconnect the power plug before cleaning the product.
  • Clean the product with a soft, dry cloth.
  • If the product is stubbornly dirty, use a slightly damp cloth and a little mild detergent if necessary.
  • Allow all parts to dry completely afterward.

Storage

All parts must be completely dry before storing.

  • Always store the product in a dry place.
  • Store the product out of children’s reach in a securely locked place and at a storage temperature between 5 °C and 20 °C (room temperature).

Disposal

The product is delivered in packaging made of recyclable materials to protect against damage during transport. Sort and dispose of these materials in the designated containers. Ask your local disposal company or local council about how to dispose of the product in an environmentally correct way. Do not dispose of batteries or electric and electronic devices in the normal \household waste. The consumer is legally obliged to return electrical and electronic devices, and batteries that are at the end of their useful life to the point of sale or public collection points that have been set up for this purpose. Legislation in the country of use stipulates the specific requirements regarding disposal. The symbol on the product, the user guide or the packaging indicates this legal requirement.
