SONICWARE Syx to Wav File Converter App User Guide
Procedure for Converting Audio files
- Prepare a .syx file that you want to convert to a Wav file.
Export from the LIVEN Lofi-12 or download presets from the SONICWARE download page:
https://sonicware.jp/pages/downloads
- When exporting from the LIVEN Lofi-12, please refer to the next page for the operation of the MIDI receiving software.
2. Drag and drop the .syx file into this application.
You will see the name of the SysEx file listed on the .syx file: label. - You can also select the file using the “Choose a file…” button.
3. Listen to the sample using the ▶ button on the “Preview” column.
4. Press the “Download Wav file” button.
A Wav file will be downloaded.
Preparing to receive a Sussex file via MIDI
Follow the instruction manual for your USB-MIDI interface, connect it to your
PC/Mac, and configure the USB-MIDI settings.
Then, connect the MIDI IN of the USB-MIDI interface to the MIDI OUT of
the LIVEN Lofi-12 with a MIDI cable.
And you will also need to download and install the following application on your PC/Mac.
[for PC] Download and install the MIDI-OX application from the URL below.

[for Mac] Download and install the SysEx Librarian application from the
URL below.
https://www.snoize.com/SysExLibrarian/
[Note] Use new batteries or an AC adapter.
Never interrupt the power while importing.
Receiving a SysEx file via MIDI
[for PC]

Double-click the MIDI-OX application to launch it.

From the Options menu, select MIDI Devices… and select the USBMIDI interface connected to your PC.

From the View menu, select SysEx… and select Configure… from the Sysex menu of the newly opened window.

Set the Configure settings as follows.

From the Sysex menu, select Receive Manual Dump… and stand by.

Start exporting a sample on the LIVEN Lofi-12.

Press Done when finished receiving data.

From the Display Window menu, select Save As… to save the file.
[for Mac]

Double-click the Sysex Librarian application to launch it.

Click Act as a source for other programs and select the USB-MIDI interface connected to your Mac.

Click Record Many ● and stand by
-
Start exporting a sample on the LIVEN Lofi-12.

Press Done when finished receiving data.

From the File menu, select Save As Sysex (.syx)… to save the file.
Troubleshooting
If the expecting fails, adjust the buffer size and transmission speed,\ and receive the Sussex file again.
[for PC]
In the Configure menu, double the Num and Size values for Low Level Input
Buffers and try to be receiving it again.
[for Mac]
In the Preferences, try extending the Sussex receive timeout.
If it does not work, try extending the timeout further.
