Custom Wavefold drapery instructions

Fabrication

1. Use the chart to determine your panel width, number of hooks and hook spacing.
2. Fold down a 1” hem at the top and pin the wavefold tape in place. For the following tracks (Professional, Principal, Heavy Duty H, Silent Glide, Motiva, Tekno 25, Kontur, Invisible and Tekno 40, put the top of the tape at the top of the drapery. For all other rods, move the top of the tape down 3/16”. This will make the top of the drapery flush with the bottom of the rod. Sew a row of stitching across the top and bottom of the wave fold tape.
3. To attach hooks to the wave fold tape, turn them upside down and insert from the bottom of the loop.
4. Put the first hook approximately 2” from each end. Space the remaining hooks evenly across the panel according to the chart. Remember that you must have an even number of hooks.
5. If using the Neat Pleat guide baton holder, add one additional hook 2 ½” inside the first hook.

Wavefold Chart for 2 3/8″ carrier spacing-All rods come with this carrier only. Fullness is adjusted with hook spacing.
Panel coverage is the length of your track if using one panel, half the length of your track if using two panels, etc.
Example: Using two panels on a 112″ track; Each panel will need to cover at least 56″. Find where 56″ falls in the first column for panel coverage. Since 56″ is more than 54″, move down to the 59″ row. Move across the row to your desired fullness. For draperies with 100% (double) fullness, you will need two panels 123″ wide with 26 hooks spaced 4 3/4″ apart.
Your first and last hook will be approximately 119″ apart in this example (25 spaces times 4 3/4″). This leaves about 2″ before the first hook and 2″ after the last hook for a total of 123″. Always use an even number of hooks.
