GETTING STARTED

Charging the Bike Light Set

  1. Lift the rubber cover to locate the USB charging port.
    Note: To charge the taillight, press down on the release latch to slide the taillight out. It is unnecessary to unmount the taillight to charge.

  2. Connect the light to the USB charging cable (Fig. 1 & Fig. 2).

  3. Connect the charging cable to a powered USB port, such as a phone charger, power bank, or computer.

  4. Unplug the USB charging cable when the LED indicator turns green or after 3 hours of charging. Note: The battery may be fully charged even if the indicator does not turn greenGearLight- ‎S400- Pro-Rechargeable-Bike-Light-Set-fig-3

LOW BATTERY WARNING:
During use, the bike lights will BLINK RED to indicate LOW BATTERY. THE BIKE LIGHTS WILL TURN OFF WITHIN MINUTES. Charge before use

WARNING

  • The bike lights contain lithium batteries that can present a fire, explosion, and burn hazard.
  • Do not repair, disassemble, or modify the bike lights.
  • Do not charge or store the bike lights near flammable materials.
  • Do not charge with a wet or damaged USB charging cable.
  • Do not overcharge the bike lights; unplug the bike lights once fully charged or if left unattended.
  • Use only UL-Listed charging adapters rated at 5V 2.4A max.
  • Do not use or charge the bike lights if they are wet or damaged.
  • Do not use the bike lights while they are charging. Unplug the bike lights before use.
  • Keep the lights away from fire, water, and high temperatures.
  • Failure to follow safety instructions may result in fire, personal injury, and property damage.

BEFORE AND DURING EACH USE, ENSURE THE RUBBER COVER IS SECURED OVER THE USB CHARGING PORT. DO NOT USE THE LIGHTS IN HEAVY RAIN.

OPERATIONS

Headlight

  • To turn the headlight on, press down on the power button located on the top ofthe headlight.
  • To turn the headlight on, press down on the power button to cycle through all the lighting modes until the light is on.

Switching Modes

  • There are five different lighting modes: High, Medium, Low, Strobe w/ Side Strobe  Lights, Medium w/ Side Strobe Lights
  • To switch through the different lighting modes, press down on the power button to alternate through the five modes.

How to Mount the Headligh

  • Wrap the silicone strap (Fig. 3) around the handlebar (Fig. 4) and attach it to the strap hook (Fig. 5)

TAILLIGHT

  • To turn the taillight on, press down on the power button located on the front of the taillight.
  • To turn the taillight o, press down on the power button to cycle through all the lighting modes until the light is o.

Switching Modes

  • There are four different lighting modes: High, Slow Chase, Strobe, Fast Chase
  • To switch through the different lighting modes, press down on the power button to alternate through the four modes.

How to Mount the Taillight

  • Wrap the silicone strap (Fig. 6) around the bike frame and attach it to the strap hook.
  • To rotate the taillight, press on the release latch (Fig. 7) and slide the taillight o.
  • Rotate to the desired position (Fig. 8), press on the release latch, and slide the taillight back on.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the bike light does not turn on or works intermittently:

  • Charge the bike light for 3 hours or until the red LED indicator light turns green.
    If the bike light does not charge:

  • Inspect the bike light and charging cable for any damage or corrosion.

  • Check the USB charging cable connections and the power source.

  • Replace the USB charging cable.

Note:

A computer in sleep mode might not charge the bike light. If the bike light appears dim or faded:

  • Charge the bike light for 3 hours or until the red LED indicator light turns green.
  • Replace the USB charging cable.

If the problem persists, contact GearLight for a replacement.

MAINTENANCE

When the lights are not in use, store them with a moderate level of charge and in a cool place away from flammable materials. Once every few months, discharge the batteries fully and recharge.
