HELPFUL TIPS
- Turn on your SkyCaddie PRO 5X outdoors, with a clear view of the sky, to receive satellite signals. Give it an initial five minutes before play to download the latest satellite data used to improve accuracy. The higher the strength on the GPS Signal Indicator, the higher the accuracy.
- To maintain optimal accuracy during play, make sure your SkyCaddie PRO 5X is always on and has a clear view of the sky. Do not put the SkyCaddie PRO 5X in your pocket or turn it on and off during play.
- Don’t expose the SkyCaddie PRO 5X to extreme temperatures or water. Storing your SkyCaddie in areas that may allow the battery to freeze may result in diminished run time or failure.
- When cleaning and wiping the display use only a cloth intended for cleaning optics. Do not wipe with a towel or paper napkins.
- Fully charge the battery before each round. The PRO 5X has the largest battery among rangefinders. So, in spite of its large and brilliant display and ultra-fast processor, you can expect 12-14 hours of play time by utilizing optional battery management features such as auto-dimming commonly used on smartphones.
- Never disconnect or turn off your SkyCaddie PRO 5X while it is syncing. Wait until it is finished communicating before you disconnect it, power it off, or power off your computer.
