SCOPE OF THIS ASSEMBLY MANUAL

  1. This manual is intended as a guide for the assembly of the Dogma F MY25 from a frame kit to a complete bike
  2. Due to the high degree of complexity of the Dogma F MY25 this manual is intended for expert mechanics of Authorized Pinarello
  3. Please utilize Authorized Pinarello Dealers for assembly, service, repairs, or maintenance performed on the Pinarello Dogma
  4. The following instructions are for electronic groupsets only, and are focused for Shimano Di2 wiring, SRAM and Campagnolo are assumed
  5. In the downloads section of pinarello.com you can download a digital version of this document.

GENERAL NOTES ABOUT ASSEMBLY

  1. Before assembly inspect all components (frame, fork, seatpost, handlebar, headset top cap and spacers) to ensure that there aren’t any sharp edges, burrs, or

TOOLS AND TORQUE SPECS

  1. Use the proper tightening torques as it is essential for the correct function and to avoid loosening or causing structural damages. In certain cases, tightening torques ensure mechanical couplings, in other cases they prevent loosening. Depending on the application, the threads should be greased or treated with thread-lockers. Refer to the chart below for the proper torque to be applied and for the

    • Loctite 222
    • Arexons System 52A22
    • To lubricate threads never use lithium-based grease

Use MOST Safegrip paste on the seat post before installing it. After first ride, and consistently thereafter, recheck the tightness of each bolt to ensure secure attachment of the components.

HOSE AND Di2 CABLE LENGTH RECCOMENDATION

  1. To properly assemble the Dogma F MY25 we recommend using the following minimum housing and hose lengths, which will then be cut according to the frame and handlebar size.

DISC BRAKE: INSTALLATION AND HOSE ROUTING SHIMANO AND SRAM

  1. Route the Rear Brake (RB) hose from the left chainstay hole to the top tube. RB hose must route above the Bottom Bracket (BB) sleeve. Pass the RB hose inside the foam tube now. Refer to chapter “4. HOUSING AND HOSE LENGTH RECCOMENDATION” for the correct hose length.

  2. Install the rear brake caliper. Connect the rear brake to the left chainstay. Tighten the bolt until the brake is locked. It will be fully tightened only after alignment with disc rotor (refer to chapter “14. FINAL CHECKS” for more details).
    Follow the brake OEM assembly instructions.

  3. Route the Front Brake (FB) hose through the fork entry hole (left fork arm) and up to the exit hole on the steer tube. Refer to chapter “4. HOUSING AND HOSE LENGTH RECCOMANDATION” for the correct hose length.

  4. Install the FB caliper to the fork. Tighten the bolt until the brake is locked. It will be fully tightened only after alignment with disc rotor (refer to chapter “14. FINAL CHECKS” for more details).
    Follow the brake OEM assembly instructions.

  5. Headset top cap assembly:

    • Install the lower headset bearing 1” ½ into the proper frame seat.
      Apply grease around the bearing frame seat.

    • Push the steer tube up into the head tube. Capture the FB hose inside the bearing and push up through the head tube. Use a proper support for the fork while installing.

    • Install the upper bearing 1” ¼ in its frame seat. Make sure to capture the RB hose and the FB hose between bearing and steer tube.
      Apply grease around the bearing frame seat

    • Install the compression ring.

    • The cut on compression ring must be facing the rear.

    • The RB hose must be on the left notch in the compression ring.

    • The FB hose must be on the right notch in the compression ring.

    • Install the headset top cap. Make sure to keep the RB hose on the left notch in the head set top cap, and the FB hose on the right notch in the head set top cap.

  6. Handlebar assembly:

    • Route the RB hose internally from the left hole below the stem to the exit hole on right side of the handlebar. Route the FB hose internally from the right hole below the stem to the exit hole on left side of the handlebar. Apply the correct number of spacers under the handlebar.
  7. Cut both RB and FB hoses 2cm longer than the front brake levers position. Connect the hose to the levers.
    Follow the brake OEM assembly instructions.

DISC BRAKE: INSTALLATION AND HOSE ROUTING CAMPAGNOLO

  1. Route the RB hose internally from the right side of the handlebar to the left exit hole below the stem. RB hose must remain on the left side throughall the headset components.

  2. Route the FB hose internally from the left side of the handlebar to the right exit hole below the stem. FB hose must remain on the right side throughall the headset components.

  3. Headset top cap assembly:

    • Apply the correct number of spacers under the handlebar.

    • Install the headset top cap. Make sure to keep the RB hose on the left notch in the head set top cap, and the FB hose on the right notch in the head set top cap.

    • Install the compression ring.

    • The cut on compression ring must be facing the rear.

    • The RB hose must be on the left notch in the compression ring.

    • The FB hose must be on the right notch in the compression ring.

    • Install the upper bearing 1” ¼ in its frame seat. Make sure to capture the RB hose and the FB hose between bearing and steer tube.
      Apply grease around the bearing frame seat.

    • Install the lower headset bearing 1” ½ into the proper frame seat.

    • Push the steer tube up into the head tube. Capture the FB hose inside the bearing and push up through the head tube. Use a proper support for the fork while installing.
      Apply grease around the bearing frame seat.
      Refer to chapter “4. HOUSING AND HOSE LENGTH RECCOMENDATION” for the correct hose length.

  4. Route the RB hose from the top tube to the left chain stay hole. RB hose must route above the Bottom Bracket (BB) sleeve. Pass the RB hose inside the foam tube now.
    Push the RB hose on the special clips located inside the frame in correspondence with the BB and Down Tube. See figure below.

  5. Route the FB hose firstly through the head tube and then through the fork entry hole on the steer tube to the exit hole (left fork arm).

  6. Install the RB caliper. Connect the rear brake to the left chain stay. Tighten the bolt until the brake is locked. It will be fully tightened only after alignment with disc rotor (refer to chapter “14. FINAL CHECKS” for more details).

  7. Install the FB caliper to the fork. Tighten the bolt until the brake is locked. It will be fully tightened only after alignment with disc rotor (refer to chapter “14. FINAL CHECKS” for more details).

  8. Cut the RB hose 4cm longer than the rear brake caliper position. Connect the hose to the brake.
    Follow the brake OEM assembly instructions.

  9. Cut the FB hose 2cm longer than the front brake caliper position. Connect the hose to the brake.
    Follow the brake OEM assembly instructions.

SHIMANO Di2 INSTALLATION AND CABLE ROUTING

  1. Electronic cable routing:

    • Rear Derailleur (RD): pull 750 mm cable EW-SD300 from the right chain stay to the BB window.

    • Front derailleur (FD): pull 350 mm cable EW-SD300 from the hole above FD to the BB window.

    • Battery (BT): assemble the BT with the BB cover as shown in picture.

    • Connect both RD and FD cables to the BT (on their own correct port) and insert all through the BB window. Secure the BB cover to the frame with the two dedicated bolts.
      Follow the brake OEM assembly instructions.

HEADSET ASSEMBLY

  1. Handlebar stack can be adjusted using the split spacers by 10mm and/or by 5mm.

  2. Interlock, as illustrated below, the required number of spacers between top cap and the handlebar. Be careful that spacers and top cap have pins for alignment. Make sure that all cables are well positioned into the proper notch and they are not twisted around each other.

  3. See the below specifications about the maximum spacer heights allowed.

    • 50 mm below the stem.
    • 20 mm over the stem.

      The following paragraphs refer to the cutting process of the steer tube, if you don’t need to cut the steer tube, go straight to the next paragraph.
  4. Install the number of spacers previously planned between the handlebar and the top cap. Slide the handlebar down the steer tube, until it and the spacers are firmly seated on the top cap. Slightly tighten the handlebar to keep all headset components in place

  5. Mark a line on the steer tube in correspondence with the top edge of the stem.

    If you intend to leave the steer tube longer above the stem (in order to maintain the possibility to raise the handlebar at a later date), place the desired number of standard aero spacers (not split) above the stem.

  6. Disassemble the handlebar and the spacers from the steer tube and cut the steer tube.

    The actual cutting line must be 5 mm below the line marked previously.

  7. Slide the handlebar down along the steer tube until the top of the last spacer. Make sure to slightly push all housings back into the frame to avoid kinks. Firmly tighten the headset as usual, placing the expander and the top cover. For the correct tightening torques refer to chapter “3.
    TOOLS AND TORQUE SPECS”.
    The split spacers have larger dimensions than usual because of having to fit with the 1” ¼ upper bearing. So, they cannot be used on the upper side of the handlebar. For the upper side, the aero spacers must be used.

INTEGRATED HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY

  1. Once the cable routing process and the headset adjustment is complete, the handlebar must be secured to the fork steer tube. Fix the expander inside steer tube.
  2. Insert the stem clamp between handlebar and steer tube. Apply top cap and M6 dedicated screw and tighten the headset.
  3. Tighten the two bolts of the stem clamp

    For the correct tightening torques refer to chapter “3. TOOLS AND TORQUE SPECS

SADDLE ASSEMBLY

  1. Start from the front hexagonal head screw: assemble the components as in the picture below and loosely tighten to hold everything in place.
  2. Complete the same process with the hexagonal socket screw on the back.
  3. Place the saddle in position, lift it to tension both screws, and place the lower clamp under the rails.
  4. Tighten both screws each in small progressions. Do not completely tighten one and then the second. For the correct tightening torques refer to chapter “3. TOOLS AND TORQUE SPECS”.

SEATPOST ASSEMBLY

  1. Apply MOST Safegrip paste on the lower part of the seatpost to increase the friction with the seatpost pocket.

  2. Insert the Seatpost Clamp (SC) inside its pocket. Verify the correct directionof the SC with the writing “UP” on the upper side.

  3. Insert the seatpost into the seat tube and tighten the SC screws. For the correct tightening torques refer to chapter “3. TOOLS AND TORQUE SPECS”.

CABLE ROUTING SUMMARY

  1. Before continuing, check that cable routing follows this chapter. If you need to swap brakes at the levers, invert cables inside the integrated handlebar only.

FINAL ASSEMBLY

  1. Install FD, RD, BB, crankset and the chain following the OEM instruction and reccommended torques.
    BB compatibility: Italian thread 36 x 24T.

FINAL CHECKS

  1. Complete final tightening of the front and rear disc brakes checking their correct centering with rotors while following the OEM instructions.
    Disc brake calipers are provided loose, make sure to tighten them following OEM specs before first ride.
    Make also sure that the disc brakes are properly bled (following OEM specs) before first ride.

  2. Fine tune the drivetrain (both rear and front derailleur) following OEM specs.

  3. Before first ride carefully check the correct assembly and operation of all components, repeat these controls periodically
