PROTECTIVE CAPS

The protective caps that thread on the chiller Inlet and Outlet ports.
Keep these for when you transport your chiller.

WATERHOSES

The flexible hoses are used to flow water from The Krýo Tub to the Chiller. The fittings on the end of each hose connect the Water Hoses to the Chiller Inlet/Outlet and Tub Valve Fittings (Inlet/Outlet).

CHILLER INLET (RED)

The connection on the chiller, which incoming water enters through. This is marked with a red ring.

CHILLEROUTLET (GREEN)

The connection on the chiller, which outgoing water leaves through. This is marked with a green ring.

EXTERNALWATERSTRAINER

The assembly of parts that is used to prevent any debris from entering the chiller. It connects to the Chiller Inlet (red).

20MICRONWATER FILTER

The water filter is used to filter debris from the water running through the chiller. This is placed inside the Water Filter Housing.

TUB COVER

The insulated protective cover that locks to your Krýo tub to keep debris out and help maintain the internal temperature.

DOUBLEACTIONAIR PUMP

The air pump used to inflate and deflate the Krýo Tub and Tub Cover.

TUB INLET (GREEN)

The connection on the Krýo tub, which incoming water enters through.
This is marked with a green ring.

TUBOUTLET (RED)

The connection on the Krýo tub, which outgoing water leaves through.
This is marked with a red ring.

INFLATIONVALVES

The ports used to inflate the Krýo Tub and Cover with the Double Action Air Pump. Includes the Inflation Valve Cap, and Inflation Valve Pin.

VALVE FITTINGS

The connection elbow/valve that connects the Tub Fittings to the Chiller Hoses running from the chiller.

O-RINGS

Ensuring O-Rings are in place is always crucial to maintain watertight seals and prevent any leakage. Always check for O-Rings inside both ends of the Water Hose Connections, at the base of the External Water Strainer connection (Chiller Inlet), and inside the upper part of the Water Filter Housing Cap.

LET’SGETSTARTED

  1. Choose a flat, clean, and smooth surface for your Krýo Tub/Chiller setup, ensuring accessibility to both a water source and a 120v power source. If outdoors, opt for a sheltered area for product longevity.
Avoid placing the chiller in a small enclosed space and keep the fan at least 1ft away from any wall to prevent any hot air recirculation. Allow the chiller to rest for 4 hours before initial use to prevent potential chiller failure
    Let’sgetstarted

  2. Before inflating the Krýo tub, connect the Valve Fittings to the Tub’s “Water Outlet” (red) and “Water Inlet” (green) fittings.
Turn them clockwise until hand tight, avoiding the use of tools or damage may occur. Align the Valve Fittings according to the indicated orientation.
    Let’sgetstarted

  3. Begin inflation preparation by unscrewing the cap counterclockwise to expose the Inflation Valve. Ensure the Inflation Valve Pin is in the depressed (out) position; failing to do so will result in air release upon detaching the hose.
    Let’sgetstarted

  4. Using the Double Action Air Pump, connect the hose to the “Inflate” side.
Attach the Inflation Hose to the Tub’s Inflation Valve with a quarter turn clockwise. Inflate until the gauge reaches 10 PSI. Avoid over inflation to prevent damage. Secure the Inflation Valve cap with a clockwise turn.
    Let’sgetstarted

  5. Now that the tub is inflated, it’s time to prepare it for use by washing the inside. To eliminate any residual ‘new tub smell,’ use a small amount of warm water and dish soap. Take a microfiber cloth and gently scrub the interior walls and tub base. This step ensures a clean and fresh start for your cold plunge experience.Let’sgetstarted
After cleaning the tub, make sure to fully rinse out all the soap. This is crucial to avoid having soapy water when you fill the tub. Thoroughly rinse the interior walls and base until no soap residue remains. This step is best to be done outside or near a drain so you can tip the tub on its side while rinsing.

  6. Take off the red “Inlet” fitting’s Protective Cap on the chiller by turning counterclockwise. Check that the O-Ring is still intact at the base of the Inlet. Insert the External Water Strainer onto the red “Inlet” by rotating clockwise. Ensure to only hand-tighten securely, avoiding excessive force.
    Let’sgetstarted

  7. Take off the green “outlet” fitting’s Protective Cap on the chiller by turning counterclockwise, then ensure there’s a Hose O-Ring in each of the four hose connection fittings. If absent, use a spare o-ring from the parts bag. Connect onewater hose end to the Chiller Outlet (green). To secure, screw on the Hose Connection Fitting and turn clockwise; the threading should be smooth. If resistance occurs, attempt reattachment. Hand tighten solely, as excessive force may lead to leaks or damage.
    Let’sgetstarted

  8. Extend the process by attaching one of the hose connection fittings of the other water hose to the rear of the External Water Strainer, located on the Chiller Inlet (red).
Employing the prior approach, only handtightening for a secure connection.

  9. Unscrew the Lower Water Filter Housing, place a 20 micron water filter inside and fill with water. Confirm the Filter Housing O-Ring is properly positioned inside the Upper Water Filter Housing. Secure the Lower Water Filter Housing by turning clockwise (right when facing the back of the Chiller) until hand-tight. Refrain from using the filter wrench for tightening; it is designed for loosening purposes only.
    Let’sgetstarted

  10. Link the Chiller to the Krýo Tub by connecting the green “Water In” Tub fitting to the green “Outlet” on the Chiller with the water hose. Similarly, connect the red “Water Out” Tub fitting to the red “Inlet” on the Chiller with the other water hose. Secure the connection by threading on the Hose Connection Fittings and rotating clockwise. Ensure smooth tightening; if resistance is felt, reattach the hose. Han tighten only to prevent potential leaks or damage.
    Let’sgetstarted

  11. Now, using a water hose fill the Krýo Tub with water up to the “MAX” level line.
Be cautious not to overfill, as it may cause water overflow for some users. Adjust the water level to your preference.
    Let’sgetstarted

  12. After filling the tub, ensure that the Tub Valve Fittings are positioned in the open (parallel) state. DO NOT forget this step before powering on the chiller or damage may occur.

  13. Connect the Chiller to a standard 120v grounded power outlet with a minimum 15-amp circuit and check the GFCI functionality. First, make sure the Power Switch on the back of the Chiller is in the ‘on’ position. Press the orange ‘T’ Test Button located above the Power Switch.
The Power Switch should flip to the ‘off’ position. Next, flip the Power Switch back to the ‘on’ position. If the Power Switch does not turn off during this test, stop and contact support for assistance.
