  3. Launch the Setup.exe file located in the WineCapManager folder and follow the installation instructions.

  4. Run WineCapManager and select “Local Connection”.

  5. Wait for the MWDG-MB recognition.

  6. Create a new database by inserting a database name and clicking “Open”.

  7. Insert the license file from the CD by going to the “Basestation” menu and selecting “Insert license”.

  8. Wait for automatic synchronization of the sensor list and status from baseline to PC.

  9. USB Driver Installation:

  10. Connect the MWLI-MB to your PC using the provided USB cable.

  11. Access Control Panel > Device Manager and click on the MWDG-MB device.

  12. Install the USB driver manually by locating the MWDG_CDC.inf file on the CD.

  13. Click “Continue” when prompted.

  14. Note: For Windows 8.1, refer to the manual “Win8.x Installare Drivers USB R01.pdf” on the CD in case of malfunctions.

  15. After the installation process, a new COM port named “WineCap MWDG (CDC)” will be installed.

  16. System Setup:

  17. Connect the MWLI-MB as shown in the diagram.

  18. Power on the MWLI-MB and verify that the System LED is flashing green.

  19. Activate the probe by approaching the WineCapKey and waiting for 2 flashes as a test.

  20. Remove the WineCapKey after activation.

  21. Verify the LED flashes to ensure proper functionality.
Different flash patterns indicate different radio signal qualities.

  22. Installation Guidelines:

  23. Position the MWLI-MB at the intended location and power it on. Choose a central position if possible, avoiding metal obstructions and reinforced concrete structures.

  24. Verify the GSM signal and ensure that the distance between the WSN and GSM antennas is greater than 50cm.

  25. Move the probe to the selected location, ensuring good radio signal quality. Outdoor probes should be placed upward and north-oriented to avoid tampering.

  26. If needed, add routers to extend the radio signal. Couple a router to the system, position it upward among obstacles and people, and select a strategic point among the plant.

  27. You can use the WD04T tester probe to measure the radio signal level. Couple the probe to the system, activate the test, and declare the radio reference in a specific point (router address or zero for MWDG-MB).

  28. For more detailed instructions regarding the network and installation process, refer to the “WINECAP User Manual.pdf” located on the CD.
