Service description

VIQF Printers is a service that enables customersto access a communicative one screen-view of VisibilityIQ
Foresight operational data including identification, utilization and condition of connected printers with the help of ZPC agent that is found on all Link-Os printers.

Onboarding phases and requirements:

Pre-onboarding phase

In this phase, onboarding pre-requisites are presented to the customer and all the information necessary for the service onboarding is collected:

  1. Customer must provide a bookable purchase order to the ZaaS@zebra.com (Bookable order criteria).

  2. Customer must submit the Network Information Form, which gathers information about the printer configuration as well as VIQF dashboard settings and required user accesses.

    • Customer should read all the questions carefully and provide as many details as possible.
    • Upon submission, the form will be verified by the Onboarding team and any pending questions will be resolved in cooperation with the customer.
  3. Customer must familiarize themselves with the ZPC Guide and confirm to Onboarding team that ZPC agent is enabled on all Zebra devices.

    • Requirements necessary for onboarding of VIQF Printers:
    • Printers must support the Asset Visibility Agent/ZPC. All the Link-OS printers with OS version 4.0 or above come with the Visibility Agent supported.
    • Printers need to be connected to the Internet all the time.
    • Printers need to be connected to the Internet directly (without being blocked by firewall or content-filters).
    • Printers can reach the address https://avs.zpc.zebra.com and Server Port: 443.
    • The communication of data to the cloud via HTTPS/WS port 443 must be allowed.
  4. The available reports for printers are the following:

    • Contract
    • Total Devices
    • Devices in Operation
    • Out of Contact
    • Newly Activated Devices

    • Smart Battery Health
    • Printer Alerts

  5. Customer can provide IP address ranges for the auto site relocation feature (if desired):
If the customer wants to easily view the site level information of the devices as with other VisibilityIQ Foresight offers, they are required to provide the site information with the site name, hierarchy, and IP range for each site to enable the auto site relocation. The device/site auto relocation feature for devices will be automatically assigned to the sites they belong to per their WLAN IP addresses reported.

    • Implementing the feature will require the customer to provide the site information and the corresponding IP range(s) of WLAN for each site in the following form.
Onboarding phase:

In this phase, the VIQF service is set up in a series of steps coordinated by the Onboarding.PM:

  1. The VIQF Dashboard is set up.
  2. The connectivity between the Devices and the VIQF Dashboard is verified with the use of ZPC, and basic Dashboard checks are performed.
  3. The auto site relocation feature is implemented (if requested by customer).
  4. VIQF Dashboard accesses are granted to customer users (admin and basic) as per Network information form. Onboarding.PM will confirm with customer that the access is functional.
  5. The VIQF Printers Troubleshooting guide is provided to customer.

Onboarding Validation phase

In this phase, Onboarding.PM performs a final validation of the VIQF Dashboard:

  1. Onboarding.PM checks that the data displayed on VIQF Dashboard are relevant and the reports are running as expected.
