Operating Instructions
Loss control pan “Grain Pan” (for 8-10 m header widths, can also be used with larger hw)
Procedure of the loss determination

Put the loss control pan on the ground in the middle in front of the header. Keep a safe distance from the combine harvester!

The driver sees where the control pan is, lifts the header for a short time and gets it passed between the front wheels.

Collect the threshing losses with the loss pan.

Shake the straw above the pan and put it aside.

Push the received grains into the boxes provided – covering the ground, in a single layer!
• with setting the swath use the left boxes
• with straw cutting/chaff distribution use the right boxes -
Each of the three full boxes corresponds to 0,5 % of loss.
In addition:
One full box = 0,5 % of loss (low amount of loss)
Two full boxes = 1,0 % of loss (optimal amount of loss)
Three full boxes = 1,5 % of loss (higher amount of loss) -
The loss pan is designed to determine losses both during swath laying and when using a straw chopper each with the chaff spreader switched on.
