Using the Iron

  • Please ensure again that the iron sock has been put into the shoe before use. First, put the iron sock into the shoe and place the iron on the metal stand.
  • Then, place it on the thermal insulation or poor thermal conductivity surface (ex. Flagstone, glass table, etc.) No. 172130
  •  Plug the AC power cord to the proper wall outlet. Turn it ON with the ON / OFF switch (4). Now you can use the temperature controller (3+ & 5-) set the desired temperature (see temperature display (2)). If the red LED (1) flashes signaled that the sheet iron has reached the selected temperature. If you hold down the on/off button for a few seconds after switching on, the display switches from Celsius to °F.
  •  Adjust and test the temperature by turning the temperature knob slowly till the covering material sticks to the balsa wood smoothly.
  •  To turn off, press again the ON-OFF switch, and then plug it back out. No. 172140
  • Set the required temperature with the temperature controller and connect the power cord of the iron sheet to an AC outlet. The temperature is infinitely adjustable.
  •  Measure the temperature with a thermometer (for example:
  • Non-contact infrared thermometer).
  •  Adjust and test the temperature by turning the temperature
  • knob slowly till the covering material sticks to the balsa wood smoothly.

Temperature Settings

Please refer to the temperature recommended by the foil manufacturer. If the manufacturer has included no recommendations for the use of the foil, you can refer to the following guidelines.

  •  At approx. 100°C the bonding part of the foil will start to glue to the model.
  •  At approx. 130°C the foil will stick to the model
  •  At approx. 150°C the foil can shrink
  •  At approx. 250°C the foil will start to melt and will be unusable

Attention! We can not guarantee success with the above-mentioned temperatures.

Safety and operating instructions

  •  Never leave the sealing iron unattended during operation.
  •  Always place the iron on the supplied stand during operation.
  • Through the temperature, your furniture might otherwise be damaged.
  • Make absolutely sure no combustible materials (eg, paper, etc.) is placed near the iron. Risk of fire!
  •  Make sure that no children or pets are near the heated iron. Risk of injury!
  •  NEVER use the iron for ironing clothes. The high temperatures is not suitable and would damage your clothes.
  • Avoid any contact with the ironing surface of the iron.
  •  Do not use in case the iron is dropped or it is obviously damaged.
  •  Switch the iron OFF (0) after use. Otherwise, the iron will switch on immediately once you connect it to the wall socket.
  •  Always disconnect the iron from the mains when not in use.
  •  This product is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety and have been given instructions about how the product should be used.
  •  Must always be kept away from children.

Disposal restrictions

Electrical appliances must not be disposed of in domestic waste and must be disposed of separately. You are obliged to take out the batteries, if possible, and to dispose of the electrical equipment at the communal collection points. Should personal data be stored on the electrical appliance you must remove them by yourself.
