The product is a heat sealing iron used for sealing covering materials to balsa wood. It comes with a temperature control knob and two LED lights (green and red) to indicate the status of the iron. The iron also has an auto security cut-off function that shuts it down when left unused for over 6 hours.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before using the iron, ensure that the iron sock has been put into the shoe.
  2. Place the iron sock into the shoe and place the iron on the metal stand.
  3. Place the iron on a thermal insulation or poor thermal conductivity surface (ex. Flagstone, glass table, etc.).
  4. Plug the AC power cord to the proper wall outlet, and the green and red LED (1 & 2)starts to light on.
  5. Turn the knob to adjust the temperature. During the preheating process, the red LED (2) will light solidly. Before the iron has reached the temperature, the red LED starts flashing, is always faster and weaker. When the temperature is reached, the red LED goes out.
  6. Adjust and test the temperature by turning the temperature knob slowly till the covering material sticks to the balsa wood smoothly.
  7. The sealing iron has auto security cut-off function. It will shut down when left unused for over 6 hours.

Using the Iron

Please ensure again if the iron sock has been put into the shoe before using. First, put the iron sock into the shoe and place the iron on the metal stand. Then, place it on the thermal insulation or poor thermal conductivity surface (ex. Flagstone, glass table, etc.)

  • Plug the AC power cord to the proper wall outlet, and the green and red LED (1 & 2)starts to light on. Turn the knob to set the temperature [Range: 100°C to 220°C (212°F to 428°F)].
  • During the preheating process, the red LED (2) is lighting solidly. Before the iron has reached the temperature, the red LED starts flashing, is always faster and weaker. When the temperature is reached, the red LED goes out.
  • Adjust and test the temperature by turning the temperature knob slowly till the covering material sticks to the balsa wood smoothly.
  • The sealing iron has auto security cut-off function. It will shut down when leave unused for over 6 hours.

LED Indicator:

  1. green = the iron is ready for use
  2. Permanent red = is in the process of heating up.
    • Flashing red = the desired temperature is almost reached
    • Red goes out = temperature is reached.

Temperature Settings

Please refer to the temperature recommended by the foil manufacturer. If the manufacturer have included no recommendations for the use of the foil, you can refer to the following guidelines.

  • At approx. 100°C the bonding part of the foil will start to glue tot he model.
  • At approx. 130°C the foil will stick to the model
  • At approx. 150°C the foil can shrink
  • At approx. 250°C the foil will start to melt and will be unusable

Attention! We can not guarantee success with the above mentioned temperatures.

Safety and operating instructions

  • Never leave the sealing iron unattended during operation.
  • Always place the iron on the supplied stand during operation. Through the temperature your furniture might otherwise be damaged.
  • Make absolutely sure no combustible materials (eg, paper, etc.) is placed near the iron. Risk of fire!
  • Make sure that no children or pets are near the heated iron. Risk of injury!
  • NEVER use the iron for ironing clothes. The high temperatures is not suitable and would damage your clothes.
  • Avoid any contact with the ironing surface of the iron.
  • Do not use in case the iron is dropped or it is obviously damaged.
  • Switch the iron OFF (0) after use. Otherwise, the iron will switch on immediately once you connect it to the wall socket.
  • Always disconnect the iron from the mains when not in use.
  • This product is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and / or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety and have been given instructions about how the product should be used.
  • Must always be kept away from children.

Disposal restrictions
Electrical appliances must not be disposed of in domestic waste and must be disposed of separately. You are obliged to take out the batteries, if possible, and to dispose of the electrical equipment at the communal collection points. Should personal data be stored on the electrical appliance you must remove them by yourself.
