Intended Use And Construction
SMX Aspre is a device designed to efficiently manage the speed of up to 1O fans.
- A. PWM signal connectors – used to transmit the signal and control the fan speed
- B. SATA connector – power supply connector
- C. PWM 4-pin connectors – used to connect fans
How To Use The Product
NOTE:
Before you start assembling the HUB, make sure the computer is turned off and
unplugged from the power supply.
- Connect the PWM cables of the fans to the corresponding connectors on the HUB [C].
- Connect the SATA cable to the corresponding connector on the HUB [B] and to the power supply connector on the computer.
- Connect the supplied PWM cable to the appropriate HUB connector [A] and to the connector on the motherboard*.
- The PWM signals you set are transmitted synchronously to all fans.
- Channel 1 (white connector) controls fans 1 to 5, and channel 2 (black connector) controls fans 6 to 1 0.
- If you use a dual or combined PWM cable, you can conveniently control all connected fans from one PWM port on the motherboard.
Most often this is the SYS_Fan, but we recommend checking the motherboard manufacturer’s manual.
