Product Usage Instructions
Getting Started
- Download the IKEA Home Smart app on your Apple or Android device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add the smart plug to your IKEA Home Smart system using the DIRIGERA hub.
Pairing a Steering Device
- To pair a steering device to your smart plug
- Ensure the smart plug is plugged in and turned on.
- Hold the steering device within 5 cm of the smart plug.
- Press and hold the pairing button for at least 10 seconds until the devices are paired.
Note
- Each steering device can control up to 10 smart plugs.
Turning On/Off Your Device
To turn your device on/off:
- Press the On/Off button on the smart plug once to toggle between on and off.
- When using a remote, press the On button ( | ) to turn on and the Off button (0) to turn off.
Factory Reset
- To factory reset your smart plug, push the reset button on top for at least 5 seconds until the LED starts pulsating.
INSPELNING
- Devices connected to INSPELNING smart plug can be controlled by a remote control. When INSPELNING smart plug is used together with DIRIGERA hub, connected devices can be controlled via the IKEA Home Smart app. The IKEA Home Smart app can also be used to monitor the power consumption of connected devices.

- For Apple devices, download the app using the App Store. For Android devices, download the app using Google Play store.
Getting started with DIRIGER
- A hub Download the IKEA Home smart app and follow the instructions on screen to add the smart plug to your IKEA Home smart system.
Pairing a steering device to your smart plug
When the smart plug is sold together with a remote (in the same package) they are already paired. To add more smart plugs, just repeat the steps below:
- Make sure that your smart plug is plugged in and the main power is turned on.
- Hold the steering device close to the smart plug you want to add (no more than 5 cm away).
- Press and hold the pairing button (Icon) for at least 10 seconds. A red LED will steadily shine on the steering device. On your smart plug a white light will begin to dim and flash one time to indicate that it has been successfully paired.Up to 10 smart plugs can be paired with 1 steering device. Make sure
to pair them one at a time. If the smart plugs are close to each other, disconnect those that have already been paired from the wall outlet.
Turn on/off your device
- Press the On/Off button on the smart plug once to turn it on. Press it once again to turn it off.
- When using a remote: Press the On button ( | ) to turn the smart plug on. Press the Off button (0) to turn the smart plug off.
Factory reset your smart plug
- Push the reset button on top of the smart plug with a pointy object for at least 5 seconds until the LED starts pulsating.
IMPORTANT
The Smart plug is for indoor use only and can be used in temperatures from 0ºC
to 35ºC (32°F – 95°F)
- Do not leave the Smart plug in direct sunlight or near any heat source, as it may overheat.
- Do not subject the Smart plug to wet, moist or excessively dusty environments as this may cause damage.
- The range between the steering device and the receiver are measured in open air. Different building materials and placement of the units can affect the wireless connectivity range.

- Do not connect after each other in sequence.
- Do not cover when in use.
- To disconnect the power, pull the plug.
- Use only indoors in dry areas.
- Do not overload the product.
- Discard the product if damaged.
- For adult use only. This is not a toy and is not intended for use by children.
Care instructions
- To clean the Smart Plug wipe with a soft dry cloth.
Note
Never use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents since this can damage the
product.
