FAQS
Is there a way to wall-mount the sound bar?
Our JBL Bar 5.0 Multibeam comes with 2 x L-shape Wall-mount bracket.
Is the surround any good? Considering it is virtual (multibeam)
With movies encoded in surround sound it works but it’s not consistent. It can’t compare to a system with discreet rear speakers.
When using the sound bar, it stops playing sound and displays loud. Why is this? And , how to fix this problem?
Please try to perform a factory reset by pressing and holding the Source, Vol+ and Vol- buttons at the same time until you see the text “reset” on the soundbar’s display. You can now start all over with installing your BAR 5.1. If the issue still persists, we’d like to work with you directly to address the issues you’re experiencing with your unit. Please contact our customer support service via our official website or toll-free hotline.
Did anyone have trouble opening the back of the remote control to install batteries? I can’t open it.
You could check out the back part of the remote for notches or tabs. Pull or slide it down to take the battery out. If this is not applicable, it would be just clips inside that needs a plastic pry tool and replace it with 2 AAA batteries.
Can I pair this one somehow through to the older model?
Thanks for your question. The JBL Bar 5.1 is incapable of wireless bluetooth
connection to prior, older models.
World Wide Stereo is 43 years old and a proud authorized JBL dealer.
How do you adjust bass and treble?
The feature is hidden I found it by accident. It was a while ago but I think you hold down the BT button for seconds and hit down on volume then you can adjust the bass from 1through 5. Their is smart sound on/ night mode as well. Except you hold the mute button 5 seconds hit volume down for night mode or volume up to shut off smart sound.
Can the simulated 5.1 rear surround effect be turned off?
If you are referring to the Smart mode, which is enabled by default, you can enjoy TV programs with rich sound effects. You can reduce sound effects by disabling the smart mode and switching to the standard mode. Using the remote control, press and hold the mute button for more than three seconds, and then press +.
