This sub delivers realistic, room-shaking home theater bass effects.

HOOK UP

  1. Line Level Inputs The line level inputs are used to connect pre-out or preamplifier outputs directly to the subwoofer amplifier’s internal crossover. These inputs are summed to mono. This is the preferred way to connect the subwoofer amplifier. If you have a mono line level signal from a “Pro Logic” or “Dolby Digital” receiver use the right “red” input.
Note: If a LFE mono output is connected, set the crossover point to maximum.

  2. High Level Inputs If pre-amplifier outputs are not available, use the high-level (speaker) inputs. The speaker level inputs can be connected directly to the amplifier by inserting the speaker wire.

  3. High Level Outputs There are also high level outputs which can be used to connect to main speakers or to another powered subwoofer with high level inputs.
Note: High level outputs are paralleled to the high level inputs with no high pass filter.

  4. Crossover Frequency Control Continuously variable from 40Hz to 150Hz. Set the frequency control to where the audio does not sound “muddy”, normally between 60-80Hz.
Note: If a LFE mono output is connected set the crossover point to maximum.

  5. Gain Control Adjusts the output level of the subwoofer. Set the level to where the bass frequencies blend with the other speakers.
Note: Most people have a tendency to set the level too high, which makes the audio sound “boomy”.

  6. Phase Switch Selectable between 0° and 180°. This assists subwoofer placement. The correct position will be the one that provides the most apparent bass output.

  7. Power Switch (Auto On/Auto Off) When the power is in the auto ON position, the amplifier will automatically turn ON when a signal is present.
    Note: In auto OFF mode, the power on LED is always green;
In auto ON mode, when there is no signal, the power LED is red and it will turn green when the unit is activated. It will turn red flashing light if there is no signal again after 15 minutes.

  8. AC Input: Auto 115/230V, frequency from 50/60 HZ.

  9. Power Supply Turn on the amp bg pressing the button “I”, turn off the amp by pressing the button “0”.

The Subwoofer System will produce more bass effect when placed in a corner. Choose a front corner that is available and near to your components for best performance in home theater applications.

The SUB uses 3 surfaces to amplify the output.

Note: Input sensitivity is adjusted to the maximum for music quality for varying strength between the sources (sound console, CD/DVD, mobile phone, etc.).

If you hear a sound distortion, please turn down the volume.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can speaker wire be used with this product?****

You can, indeed.

Is this submarine ports or sealed?****

Seals surround the subwoofer.

Would this work with a single RCA plug (instead of two or stereo) from my Sony receiver’s “pre out”? Do I require an adaptor for a Y splitter?****

Your receiver’s line-out RCA port should be used to connect this.

My LG surround system has a cordless subwoofer as standard equipment. Can I use this subwoofer in place of the LG subwoofer?****

However, the connection is wired.

Is a down firing subwoofer better?****

The soundwaves produced by down-firing subwoofers are directed at the ground, where they are reflected and given a deeper sound for a louder “rumble” effect in movies and video games.

Which is better front firing or down firing subwoofer?****

In subwoofers, front-firing drivers create all of the aforementioned qualities far better than down-firing drivers can. This results in bass that sounds quick and airy while also being highly impacting, a quality that is blunted in down-firing designs.

How do I connect my subwoofer to my Pyle receiver?****

Use an LFE cable to connect a subwoofer to a receiver’s subwoofer output (SUB OUT or SUBWOOFER). If there isn’t an LFE subwoofer output or LFE input, connect using an RCA cable. Use the receiver’s speaker output to connect everything if the subwoofer has spring clips.

Is it better to Underpower or overpower a subwoofer?****

Underpowered will be more tolerable to them than overpowered. Ensure that the impedances are compatible to avoid damaging your output transformer.

Should Subs be louder than bass?****

If you want to have enough headroom for the rest of the song, subbass should peak at -12 dB. Keep the subbass 2 to 5 dB below the kickdrum as a general rule of thumb if mixing with headroom isn’t working for you.

What is the best sound setting for a subwoofer?****

Set the subwoofer’s crossover frequency between 40Hz and 60Hz if your main speakers are huge floor standing models. Set the crossover a little higher, between 50 and 80 Hz, if you have smaller bookshelf speakers.

Why is my subwoofer not working with my receiver?****

Look to see where the subwoofer is connected to the receiver’s back. It must be connected to a specific subwoofer channel, or “sub out” channel. It’s possible that it’s connected to an RCA port that isn’t transmitting any audio or low-frequency material.

Will any subwoofer work with any receiver?****

The stereo receiver won’t work with a subwoofer if it doesn’t have IN and OUT speaker wire connections.

Can 8 inch subs make deep bass?****

An 8-inch subwoofer can most definitely produce crisp, tight bass. You may occasionally even receive power comparable to a 10 or 12-inch subwoofer.
