Product Usage Instructions

Safety Precautions

1. Always use oven mitts or pot holders when touching any outer or inner surface of the oven as it gets hot during use.

2. Ensure the unit is placed with enough clearance from walls and cabinets to allow heat flow without causing damage.

Initial Setup

1. Before the first use, ensure proper ventilation around the unit.

2. R move all packaging materials and stickers from the oven.

Cooking Guidelines

1. Place food or baking dishes at least 1.5 inches away from the top heating elements.

2. Avoid extending food beyond the edges of the baking pan to prevent drippings on the heating elements.

3. The heating elements will cycle on and off for even heat distribution.

Cleaning and Maintenance

1. Allow the oven to cool before cleaning.

2. Clean the crumb tray, baking pan, and slide rack after each use to prevent buildup.

    To disconnect, press Stop/Start button at the bottom of the control panel ( ), then unplug from wall outlet.

  • Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.

  • Use caution when removing the tray or disposing of hot grease.

  • Do not clean the oven with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts, causing risk of electric shock.

  • Do not attempt to clean the heating elements.

  • Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in a toaster oven, as they may create fire or risk of electric shock.

  • A fire may occur if the toaster oven is covered or touching flammable materials including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation. Do not store any item on top of the unit while in operation.

  • Do not store any material, other than the manufacturer’s recommended accessories, in this oven when not in use.

  • Do not place any of the following materials in the oven: paper, cardboard, plastic, and other items not constructed of oven-safe metal and glass pans.

  • Do not cover the crumb tray or any part of this oven with metal foil. This will cause overheating in the oven

  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  • The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote-control system.

  • Do not leave unattended while in operation. Food ignition may occur. If this happens, unplug the unit, but DO NOT open the door. To reduce the risk of fire, keep the oven interior completely clean and free of food residues, oil, grease, and other combustible materials

GROUNDED PLUG

As a safety feature, this product is equipped with a grounded plug, which will only fit into a three-prong outlet. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. Improper connection of the grounding conductor may result in the risk of electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded

TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW

Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.

ELECTRICAL CORD

  1. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
  2. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:

a) The marked electrical rating of the power cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.

b) The extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord.

c) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

HOW TO USE

This appliance is intended for household use only.

Getting Started

  • Remove all packing material, any stickers, and the plastic bands around the power plug.
  • Remove and save literature.
  • Please go to www.prodprotect.com/applica to register your warranty.
  • Wash all removable parts as instructed in the Care & Cleaning Section.
  • Select a location where this unit is to be used, allowing enough space from the back of the unit and wall to allow heat flow without damage to cabinets and walls

Important information about your oven

  1. This oven gets hot. When in use, always use oven mitts or potholders when touching any outer or inner surface of the oven.
  2. When using the oven for the first time, you may notice smoke or a slight odor during the first few minutes. This is normal.
  3. Be sure food or baking dish does not come within 11/2 inches (3.81cm) of the top heating elements.
  4. Food should not extend beyond the edges of the baking pan/drip tray to avoid drippings from falling onto the heating elements.
  5. The heating elements will cycle on and off to maintain even heat distribution.
  6. After the cooking cycle is completed, the main display will stay illuminated for a short time if not unplugged.

Changing to and from Celsius and Fahrenheit

Press and hold the Up and Down temperature arrows ( ) simultaneously. The display will show either a °C for Celsius or °F for Fahrenheit

OPERATING YOUR OVEN

  1. Plug into an outlet.
  2. Display light will illuminate and all function lights will light up momentarily.
  3. When turned on, the oven will either default to factory settings or to the last setting used. (see Function Chart on page 11)
  4. Choose the desired function and proceed with detailed function information below

Convection Baking Function

The display will blink until the desired temperature setting is met. The timer will not start until the oven is preheated

  1. Press the Convection Baking function button ( ). The blue light will illuminate.
  2. The oven will either default to factory function settings or to the last setting used.
  3. If needed, press the temperature buttons ( ) to select the desired temperature. Up arrow for a higher temperature, and down for a lower temperature.
  4. If needed, press the timer buttons ( ) to select the desired time. Up arrow for a longer time period, and Down for a shorter time period. Select Stay On ( ) by pressing the Down arrow past Zero. The Stay On icon ( ) will show in the display panel.
  5. Press the Start/Stop button (I/0) to begin heating the oven. The display will blink while the oven is preheating.
  6. Once it’s preheated there will be an audible beep and the display will stop blinking; Place the food in the oven on the middle or low rack position to begin baking dish.
  7. If using the oven timer, there will be an audible beep once the baking cycle is complete and the oven will stop heating. If not using the timer, press the Start/ Stop Button (I/0) once the cooking cycle is complete.
  8. Unplug the appliance when not in use

Broil Function

No preheat is needed for this function.

  1. Press the broil function button ( ****). The blue light will illuminate.
  2. The oven will either default to factory function settings or to the last setting used. (see Function Chart on page 11)
  3. If needed, press the temperature buttons (  ) to select the desired temperature.
  4. If needed, press the time buttons (  ) to select the desired time. Up arrow for a longer time period, and Down for a shorter time period.
  5. Press the Start/Stop button (I/0) to begin broiling.
  6. Place the food in the oven on the top rack position. Be sure the food or baking dish does not come within 1 1/2 inches (3.81cm) of the top heating elements.
    • Note : Place food directly on the rack with the baking pan in place.
  7. There will be an audible beep once the broil cycle is complete and the oven will stop heating.
  8. Unplug the appliance when not in use

Toast Function

No preheat is needed for this function.

  1. Press the Toast function button ( ). The blue light will illuminate.

  2. The oven will either default to factory function settings or to the last setting used. (see Function Chart on page 11)

  3. If needed, press the time/toast shade buttons ( ) to select the desired shade. Up arrow for a darker shade, and Down for a lighter shade.
    Note: Shades 1-7 are available, 1 being the lightest and 7 being the darkest.

  4. Place food directly on rack in the middle rack position and then press the Start/Stop button (I/0) to begin toasting.

  5. There will be an audible beep once the toasting cycle is complete and the oven will stop heating.

  6. Unplug the appliance when not in use

Bagel Function

No preheat is needed for this function.

  1. Press the Bagel function button ( ****). The blue light will illuminate.

  2. The oven will either default to factory function settings or to the last setting used. (see Function Chart on page 11)

  3. If needed, press the time/toast shade button (  ) to select the desired shade. Up arrow for a darker shade, and Down for a lighter shade.
    Note : Shades 1-7 are available, 1 being the lightest and 7 being the darkest.

  4. Place food directly on rack in the middle rack position and press the Start/Stop button (I/0) to begin toasting.

  5. There will be an audible beep once the toasting cycle is complete and the oven will stop heating.

  6. Unplug the appliance when not in use

Reheat Function

No preheat is needed for this function.

  1. Press the Reheat function button ( ****). The blue light will illuminate.

  2. The oven will either default to factory function settings or to the last setting used. (see Function Chart on page 11)

  3. If needed, press the temperature button ( ) to select the desired temperature. Up arrow for a higher temperature, and Down for a lower temperature.

  4. If needed, press the time buttons ( ) to select the desired time. Up arrow for a longer time period, and Down for a shorter time period. Select Stay On by pressing the Down arrow past Zero. The Stay On icon ( ) will show in the display panel.

  5. Place food on the middle or low rack and press the Start/Stop button (I/0) to begin reheating the food.
    Note : Use a metal, oven-tempered glass, or ceramic baking dish.

  6. If using the oven timer, there will be an audible beep once the cycle is complete and the oven will stop heating. If not using the timer, press the Start/Stop Button (I/0) once the cycle is complete.

  7. Unplug the appliance when not in use

Frozen Snacks

The display will blink until desired temperature setting is met. A timer will not start until the oven is preheated

  1. Press the Frozen Snacks function button ( ****). The blue light will illuminate.
  2. When turned on, the oven will either default to factory settings or to the last setting used. (see Function Chart on page 11)
  3. If needed, press the temperature button ( ) to select the desired temperature. Up arrow for a higher temperature, and Down for a lower temperature.
  4. If needed, press the time buttons ( ) to select the desired time. Up arrow for a longer time period, and Down for a shorter time period.
  5. Press the Start/Stop button (I/0) to begin heating the oven. The display will blink while the oven is preheating.
  6. Once it’s preheated there will be an audible beep and the display will stop blinking; Place the food in the oven on the middle or low rack position to begin baking
    • Note: Use a metal, oven-tempered glass, or ceramic baking dish placed on the middle or low rack position.
  7. There will be an audible beep once the frozen snack cycle is complete and the oven will stop heating.
  8. Unplug appliance when not in use

Pizza

The display will blink until desired temperature setting is met. Timer will not start until the oven is preheated

  1. Press the Pizza function button ( ****). The blue light will illuminate.
  2. The oven will either default to factory function settings or to the last setting used. (see Function Chart on page 11)
  3. If needed, press the temperature button ( ) to select the desired temperature. Up arrow for a higher temperature, and Down for a lower temperature.
  4. If needed, press the time buttons ( ) to select the desired time. Up arrow for a longer time period, and Down for a shorter time period.
  5. Press the Start/Stop button (I/0) to begin heating the oven. The display will blink while oven is preheating.
  6. Once it’s preheated there will be an audible beep and the display will stop blinking. Place the food in the oven, directly on the rack, in the middle or low rack position to begin baking.
  7. There will be an audible beep once the pizza cycle is complete and the oven will stop heating.
  8. Unplug appliance when not in use

FUNCTION CHART

  • Convection Baking is automatic on the Bake, Reheat, and Pizza Settings.
  • Default settings apply only after the unit has been unplugged and plugged back in (Bake Function is Default). Once a setting has been used, the last function, time & temperature selections will be saved

SINGLE-SERVE CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE IN A MUG

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. applesauce
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Heat toaster oven to 375°F.
  2. Combine dry ingredients in a small bowl.
  3. Mix together applesauce, milk, oil, and vanilla; stir into dry ingredients.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Spoon batter into a greased oven-safe coffee mug.
  6. Bake 15-18 min. or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

CARE AND CLEANING

This product contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer to service qualified service personnel.

Cleaning

Important : Before cleaning any part, be sure the oven is off, unplugged, and cool.

  1. Clean the glass door with a sponge, soft cloth, or nylon pad and sudsy water. Do not use a spray cleaner.
  2. Remove slide rack and bake pan; wash in soapy water. To remove stubborn spots, use a polyester or nylon pad.
  3. Pull out the crumb tray using the handle and dispose of the crumbs. Wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry it thoroughly before placing it back into the oven.
  4. Wipe the outside of the oven with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly.
  5. Do not attempt to clean the heating elements. Any food that comes into contact with the elements will burn off on its own.

Cooking Containers

Metal, ovenproof glass or ceramic bakeware can be used in your oven. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Be sure the top edge of the container is at least 11/2 inches (3.81cm) away from the upper heating elements If additional assistance is needed, please contact our consumer service team at 1-800-231-9786.
