Important Safety Instructions

◆ Avoid dropping or hitting the speaker so as not to damage the internal components.
◆ Keep the speaker away from any source of heat.
◆ Adjust the volume to a suitable level so as to avoid damaging your hearing, or the unit itself.
◆ If you do not intend to operate the speaker for a long time, please charge battery once a month to prevent the lithium battery from getting damaged.

User interface and inputs

  1. Play/Pause/Call
    Press to play/pause music and to answer an incoming phone call, press again to hang up the phone call.

  2. Previous track / Volume down
    Press to skip to the previous track, press and hold to turn the volume down during music playback.

  3. Next track / Volume up
    Press to skip to the next track, press and hold to turn the volume up during music playback.

  4. LED light theme
    Press to cycle through the available light themes

  5. Input mode
    Press to cycle through the different input modes, from Bluetooth to aux to SD card.

NOTE: The parts shown here are hidden under a dust cover. Access by lifting from the left hand side.

  1. Auxiliary input
    Use the supplied 3.5mm audio cable to connect to the headphone output from another device (eg. Laptop, MP3 player)

  2. Indicator light
    Shows battery and charging status.

  3. Micro USB port
    Insert the provided micro USB cable to charge the device.

  4. Micro SD slot
    Insert a Micro SD card to play music directly from the memory card.

  5. On / Off switch
    Turn the power on or off.

Instructions

Power on/off
Lift the dust cover from the left hand side and switch the power to “on.” When you are finished using the T630 adjust the switch to “off”.

Pairing a device via Bluetooth / NFC

  1. Bluetooth pairing: Press the “M” button to enter the Bluetooth mode the speaker voice will announce which mode it is in when you press the button. Now turn on the Bluetooth function of your device and begin searching for Bluetooth devices. Find the
    “Helium T630 ” and connect to it. The speaker will announce “device paired” when successful.

  2. NFC pairing: (this requires that the device you are attempting to connect to has NFC functionality) With the speaker on Bluetooth mode turn on the mobile’s NFC function touch the speaker’s NFC area (see diagram to the right). The mobile will ask if you wish to pair with the speaker, select yes.

Bluetooth / NFC Functionality

  1. Music Play
    After pairing via Bluetooth or NFC, open your devices’ music player and press play, the speaker will begin playing the selected music. Then use the play/pause and track skipping controls on the T630 to control playback and volume control.

  2. Mobile Hands-free communication
    When you receive a call the T630 can answer the call and has an in-built microphone to use as a hands-free device.
    i) To answer the call press the key once.
    ii) To end the call press the key once.
    iii) To dial back the last received call press the key twice quickly

LED Themes
Press to switch between the LED Themes, there are five different themes.

Micro SD Card Playback
Insert a Micro SD Card into the speaker to enter the memory card mode, or press the “M” button until the speaker says “Memory Card mode” to manually enter SD card mode. The speaker will begin playing the Micro SD card music automatically. You can then use the play/pause and track skipping buttons to adjust playback.

Charging
Using the provided USB cable, connect to a computer or a branded 5V/1000mA adaptor to recharge. The LED indicator will turn orange whilst charging and blue when it is fullycharged.
NOTE: If the battery is very low, the indicator light will flash quickly, at this point you should charge it as soon as possible. Sound quality will be affected at low battery level.

Troubleshooting

  1. What should I do if the speaker cannot pair with the Bluetooth device?
    Check the specification of the Bluetooth device you are trying to pair with. And check if the device can support A2DP stereo audio transmission. If it can ensure that the A2DP stereo mode is switched on.

  2. What should I do if the Micro SD card does not work?
    i) Ensure that the Micro SD card is in good condition.
    ii) Check that the audio files are the correct formats – MP3/WMA/WAV/APE/FLAC.
    iii) Ensure that the compatibility of the SD card is correct, format the SD card to FAT32.iv) Do not use an SD card larger than 32GB capacity.
