3-IN-1 WEED BURNER
MANUAL
3-in-1 weed burner 4512943079447
Introduction
To get the most out of your new weed burner, please read through these instructions and the attached safety instructions before use.
Technical data
Voltage/frequency: 230 V~ 50 Hz
Power rating: 2000 W
Air flow: 500 l/min
Temperature settings: I: 100 °C, II: 350 °C, III: 650 °C
Breaks down weeds in 5 seconds without chemicals by means of heat
With rotatable handle, removable shaft and handle, plus 5 nozzles for weed
removal. Can also be used as an ordinary heat gun and to light barbecues.
Special safety instructions
The weed burner may only be used as a weed burner, as an ordinary heat gun and
to light barbecue charcoals and briquettes.
Never point at people, animals, expensive, fragile or inflammable objects.
Do not use the weed burner on patios or other surfaces that cannot tolerate
the powerful heat generated by the weed burner.
The surface may become hot in the areas treated. Always wear suitable footwear
to avoid burning your feet!
The hot air nozzle and weed nozzles get very hot during use. Avoid touching
them before they have cooled and never place the weed burner near inflammable
objects immediately after use.
Always hold the edge of the nozzle between 1 and 5 cm from the weed.
Do not use near inflammable liquids or gases or where there is poor
ventilation.
If using the weed burner to remove paint containing lead or other harmful
substances, always wear a protective mask.
Keep the hot air nozzle, weed nozzles and ventilation slots clear of dust,
plants and leaves to avoid danger of fire.
Do not use in wet or damp conditions. Do not use in the rain.
Use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use with a suitable cable cross-
section. Roll out the extension cord completely before switching the weed
burner on.

Assembly as a weed burner
Screw the shaft (6) to the motor section’s thread (16). Screw the separate
handle (5) to the other end of the shaft (6).
Secure the cord (7) to the shaft (6) using the cord clips (10).
Press and hold the button (9) and turn the handle (15) so that the hot air
nozzle (14) extends out of the handle (15).
Attach the weed nozzle (12) to the hot air nozzle (13).
If you want to use the weed burner as a heat gun, remove the shaft and the
separate handle and turn the handle so that the hot air nozzle is angled
correctly in relation to the handle.
Choose the nozzle suitable for the task in hand.
Use as a weed burner
Connect the cord to an extension lead and hook the cord securely onto the cord
holder (17) on the separate handle on the weed burner.
A small amount of smoke may be emitted when the weed burner is used for the
first time. This is normal and does not mean there is a defect.
Switch the weed burner on using the on/off button (8). Select heat setting III
on the temperature selector (14). Allow the weed burner to warm up for 45
seconds before starting to use it.
Hold the weed nozzle (12) 1-5 cm above the weed for around 5 seconds.
NB! The weed must not burn or char. Instead, the powerful heat effect causes
the weed to wither and die within a few days.
Use as a heat gun
Attach the required nozzle (2, 3, 4) to the hot air nozzle (13). Switch the
heat gun on using the on/off button (8). Select heat setting I, II or III on
the temperature selector (14).
Point the nozzle or hot air nozzle at the workpiece. Examples of use are
described below.
Avoid keeping the heat gun on the same spot for too long, as extended exposure
to heat (especially when using heat setting II/III) may damage or ignite the
item.
Removing paint and lacquer, and softening glue
Soften paint/lacquer using hot air and remove it with a palette knife or
scraper. Over-exposing paint or lacquer to hot air can burn it, making it
difficult to remove. Use a clean, sharp scraper.
When removing paint from glass surfaces, use the heat gun with caution to
avoid cracking the glass! Heat up stickers and other forms of glue to soften
them before peeling or scraping off.
Shaping plastic pipes
Fill the pipe with sand and seal both ends. This will prevent it breaking.
Apply heat evenly by moving the gun from side to side. Bend the pipe as
required when softened.
Shrinking
Ensure the diameter of the shrink collar is large enough for the item it is to be applied to. Heat gently using the gun.
Thawing water pipes
NB! It is easy to confuse water pipes with gas pipes. Never under any
circumstances heat gas pipes! Always apply heat to the frozen spot from the
outside and work inwards.
Ensure the heat gun does not ignite any materials around the pipe and remember
that metal pipes conduct heat.
Plastic pipes and sleeves must be heated with particular care to avoid damage.
Use as a barbecue starter
Place the barbecue charcoals or briquettes in the barbecue.
Attach the ignition nozzle (1) to the hot air nozzle (13). Switch the weed
burner on using the on/off button (8). Select heat setting III on the
temperature selector (14). Allow the weed burner to warm up for 45 seconds.
Lower the ignition nozzle towards the barbecue charcoals or briquettes, which
will ignite within a few minutes.
NB! Do not use solid or liquid firelighters at the same time as you are
igniting barbecue charcoals or briquettes using the weed burner.
Concluding work
Once you have finished working, push the temperature selector to position I
and allow the weed burner to run for a few minutes so that it cools down more
quickly.
Push the hanger (11) out so that you can put the weed burner down on a non-
flammable surface.
Switch the weed burner off using the on/off button (8) and unplug it.
Allow the weed burner to cool down fully before putting it away.
Cleaning and maintenance
Clean the weed burner with a brush and slightly damp cloth after use and
always keep its surfaces and vent holes (4) clean. Never use corrosive or
abrasive cleaning agents, as they may attack the plastic parts of the weed
burner.
Apply a thin layer of acid-free oil to the weed nozzle and hot air nozzle
before putting the weed burner away.
