How do I keep my preferred keyboard backlight brightness settings on my
Razer Blade?
The keyboard brightness will be saved if Synapse is running. To save the keyboard brightness, use Razer Synapse 3 (Option is located at “SYSTEM” tab > “LIGHTING”).
Note: The system will always be at default full brightness when the power adapter is plugged in and in 50% brightness level when the system is on battery.
Why does the Razer Blade Stealth enter sleep mode when placed on top of
another closed laptop?
The Blade Stealth has sensors that detect the state of the laptop, if the lid is closed or not. If a Blade Stealth is placed on top of another Blade Stealth with a closed lid, the laptop on top may go into sleep mode as well because of the sensors being so close. To avoid this, we recommend not placing laptops on top of each other.

Troubleshooting
The Razer Blade FPS is capped to 30 when it’s on battery mode
You may notice that the FPS of your Razer Blade is capped to 30 when it is using the battery mode. This occurs when your Blade goes into “Battery Saving Mode” which reduces the performance.
To fix this, do the following steps:
Note: Before you proceed, ensure you have installed all the latest Microsoft® Windows Operating Systems and Security Updates.
- Click the Start Menu icon.
- Search and open “GeForce Experience”.
3. Click on the “Settings” icon at the top-right corner of the window.
4. Select “Games”.
5. Under the “Battery Boost”, click to toggle to disable it.
- Note: By disabling the “Battery Boost” function, the Blade will keep on running at maximum settings and will no longer choose to preserve battery life over performance.
You may also turn off the “Battery Saving” in the Windows Settings.
1. Navigate to Settings > System > Battery.
2. Disable “Battery Saver” by clicking the checkbox under it.
At times, the Razer Blade may experience overheating or temperature spikes when running CPU intensive games or editing software. However, if you experience any issues listed below, follow the tips to prevent these problems from happening.
* Excessive fan noise or use.
* Games stop responding.
* Windows stops responding.
* Blade restarts or turns off unexpectedly.
Note: Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Depending on the model of your device, you may have either or both Intel Graphics or Nvidia Graphics drivers installed. Consult your device manual for more information.
1. Keep the laptop’s air vents clean and clear from any obstructions.
2. Ensure that the Blade has enough space for ventilation.
3. Keep the Blade in a cooler area.
If the tips above did now resolve the issue, perform a factory reset on your laptop as external factors such as malware or viruses could be causing this issue.

Can I dual-boot, partition, or otherwise modify the Razer Blade Stealth’s
operating system?
Dual-booting your system has its advantages and uses. It enables you to switch between two Operating Systems (OS) quickly and access its exclusive tools, test application compatibility or to try out a new OS, and so on.
However, Blade laptops are designed for compatibility with the as-shipped OS, also note that modifying Blade’s OS will result in voiding its warranty and support.
Hardware
Can I overclock the processor and the graphics card on my Razer Blade
laptop?
Razer laptops are carefully crafted and its components are tuned to give the best performance under the most demanding gaming conditions. We do not recommend overclocking your CPU, GPU, and/or RAM as these alter the delicate balance of performance and reliability of the system. There is an associated risk of damage to crucial components if unauthorized changes are made, which will result in voiding the manufacturer’s warranty.
How long will a Razer Blade laptop go on a fully charged battery before it
needs to be re-charged?
The battery of the Razer Blade Stealth 13” (2020) can go up to 10 hours when fully charged. However, battery drains variably depending on how you use your Blade. If you want to know how to make most of your Blade’s battery, see How do I improve or extend the battery performance and life on my Blade.
Will I overcharge my battery if I leave it plugged in even when it is at
100%?
The Razer Blade series uses a lithium-ion (Li-On) polymer battery. Though this is not exactly a Windows feature, overcharging Li-ion batteries is not a problem and does not affect the battery life span. The Blade laptops have an internal circuit to stop charging at full charge to avoid overcharging, and will only start recharging when the battery hits 95%.
How can I extend the battery life of my Razer Blade Stealth when on-the-
go?
Most of the battery improvement options are part of the Windows OS. Follow the following tips below to extend the battery life of your Razer Blade when on- the-go.
Can you charge the laptop from both of the USB-C ports on the Razer Blade
Stealth 13” (2020)?
Yes, you can charge the laptop using the included 100W power adapter on both the Thunderbolt™ 4 and USB-C port of the Blade Stealth.
Can I charge the Razer Blade Stealth 13” (2020) with its predecessors’ or
third-party power adapters?
Yes, the Blade Stealth is backward compatible with its predecessors’ power adapters. However, because previous generation’s compact 65W power adapter is smaller, it will charge the Blade Stealth slower than its included 100W power adapter.
Using third-party power adapters is not recommended. These adapters have not been tested to meet our standards and may lead damage to the System. You can purchase replacement or spare 100W USB-C AC adapters from the RazerStore.
