Common Questions

Can I overclock my Razer Blade Stealth 13″ (Early 2019)?

Razer laptops are carefully crafted and its components are tuned to give the best performance under the most demanding gaming conditions. We do not recommend over-clocking your CPU, GPU, and/or RAM as these alter the delicate balance of performance and reliability of the system. There is associated risk of damage to crucial components if unauthorized changes are made, which will result in voiding manufacturer’s warranty.

Does the Razer Blade Stealth 13″ (Early 2019) feature Chroma Lighting?

Yes, the Razer Blade Stealth 13″ (Early 2019) features Chroma single-zone full key backlighting. Single-zone means that only one of the 16.8 million colors can be selected at a single time. Additionally, users can choose a static color or cycle through the range of colors using Razer Synapse 3.

What type of games will run on the Razer Blade Stealth 13″ (Early 2019)?

The Razer Blade Stealth 13″ (Early 2019) has a mobile-focused NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card with 4GB of VRAM. This allows games like Overwatch, Fortnite, WOW, LOL, and similar class games to run smoothly. More graphic demanding titles may require the settings to be lowered or the additional use of Razer Core external graphics, which is sold separately, to run at higher settings.

How do I use the additional functions indicated on my Razer Blade

Stealth’s keyboard?

To take advantage of the additional functions on the Razer Blade Stealth, hold the “Fn” key and press the specified function key.

Do Razer Blade Stealth laptops come with bloatware?

Razer understands how important it is to keep a bloatware-free environment on your brand-new Razer Blade Stealth. The Razer Blade Stealth comes with no bloatware preinstalled.

Troubleshooting

The Razer Blade Stealth 13″ (Early 2019) Model does not effectively charge

when in Creator Mode. What should I do?

Systems with Hybrid Power allow drawing on the battery to provide the additional power required when running CPU/GPU intense application. The draw on battery ends when the battery capacity dips below 30% and re-engages when the battery capacity has recharged to 50%. If this happens over a prolonged period, it can appear that the battery isn’t recharging or takes too long to recharge to full.

Tips on how to avoid this from happening:

  1. Close unused programs
  2. Close or restart CPU/GPU intense application
  3. If the application is designed to be CPU/GPU high intensity, the aforementioned behavior is expected. (not a hardware issue)
  4. Exit Synapse Creator Mode on Razer Blade Stealth 13 (Early 2019).

Why is my Razer Blade Stealth’s display settings showing 59Hz instead of

60Hz?

There is no difference between 59Hz and 60 Hz, in terms of performance. Both 59Hz and 60 Hz are translated to 59.94 Hz before they are sent to the monitor’s chip and should, therefore result in identical performance. The reported 59 Hz setting that cannot be changed even after tweaking the display settings is a result of how Windows reports signals coming from a monitor that uses the old TV-compatible standard of 59.94 Hz.

For backward compatibility, Windows keeps the 59 Hz setting for applications that use the older standard, but also reports the 60 Hz setting for applications that require it. You may refer to Windows Support for more information.

Why does the Razer Blade Stealth enter sleep mode when placed on top of

another closed laptop

Our Razer Blade Stealth laptops have sensors that detect the state of the laptop if the lid is closed or not. If a Razer Blade Stealth laptop is placed on top of another Razer Blade Stealth laptop with a closed lid, then the top laptop might go into sleep mode because it might detect the sensors of the bottom laptop with a closed lid and will think that its lid is closed too. The solution to this is to not place a laptop on top of another laptop.

Hardware

What do the different colors on my status indicator mean?

The front LED indicator shines on only when the lid is closed, and the power button indicator shines on when the lid is open.

  • White – Sleep mode
  • Green – On
  • Dim Red – Low Battery (10% left)
  • Bright Red – Lower Battery (3% left)

Note:  The status indicator is not an HDD indicator.
