Powered by Solar Panel (Eco-Solar Robot)

Put the Eco-Solar Robot under the natural sunlight to watch it GO!

Warning: Solar Operation: You may use a 100W light bulb at about 5cm away from the solar panel for testing purpose. This way you can see that it will operate like under ordinary sunlight. However, this is for testing purpose of short period only and not for normal use. Placing the light bulb close to the solar panel for long may melt the plastics or damage the solar panel under the large amount of heat.

Warning : Overheating hazards. Do not touch the solar panel.

Powered by salt water triggered chemical reaction Robot

Mix a solution of at least 2 full teaspoons of salt with a cup of water. Stir the mixture to make sure that the salt is dissolved. You don’t have to worry about putting too much salt into the water as this will not cause harm to the kit.

Pro Tips: As this is a build-it-yourself kit which can be assembled and played as many times as you desire, there might be a possibility of connection failure to power up the kit. In case this happens, the first thing to check is to make sure that the metal pin is in the right position for connecting solar/salt water panel. To do so, please remove the solar/salt water panel, then use your finger to slightly adjust the metal pins by moving upward and then insert the solar/ salt water panel again.

Tips for Caring

  1. Motor with metal plates – for the salt water experiment always use wet cloth to gently wipe the two metal plates attached to the motor and then use dry cloth to carefully dry these parts. This is to protect the life expectancy of the product.

  2. Solar Panel — always make sure that motor with metal plates are dried and have no traces of salt water before inserting solar panel. Otherwise, please wipe the plate underneath the solar panel.

Troubleshooting
If the kit is not working please check the followings:

Ensure solar panel or salt water power module is fully inserted by pushing in.

) Replace a new salt water power module if the kit does not work after operated for some time. Please check metal pins attached to solar/salt water panel is in right position. To do so, please remove solar/salt water panel and then use your finger to slightly adjust metal pins by moving upward.

If you find the kit still cannot power up after adjust the metal pins, we suggest to unscrew the main body and check the motor connect with gear shaft properly.
