IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS

For safety purpose you should read the instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time and follow them. Save the instructions for future reference. The appliance is designed for domestic use and may only be operated in accordance with these instructions for use. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used near children. The appliance generates high temperature steam, when using the appliance, hold steamer head facing away from you, in vertical position.

DO’s

  1. Connect the appliance to a suitable mains supply outlet.
  2. Unwind and straighten the power cord before use.
  3. Place the appliance on a firm and steady surface.
  4. Keep the appliance away from children.
  5. Unplug the appliance during filling and cleaning.
  6. Care should be taken when using this appliance due to emission of steam.
  7. Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply and allow it to cool down before remove the brush accessory from the appliance or refit it.

  9. When placing the appliance on its flat base, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
  10. If the power cord and/or any part of the iron have been damaged, it must be replaced by manufacturer or its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  11. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  12. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

DONOT’s

  1. Do not connect the appliance to a wall socket intended for electronic shavers.
  2. Do not allow children to touch the appliance or the power cord when steaming.
  3. Do not use an extension power cord set unless competent authority has approved ii.
  4. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  5. Do not add perfume, vinegar or other chemical liquids into the water tank; they can damage the appliance seriously.
  6.  Do not use this appliance when ii is damaged or ii does not work properly.
  7. Do not place the appliance on its head, when the appliance is used or connected to the mains. Lay ii down on its solid flat base.
  8. Do not apply steam on any clothes or fabrics that are being worn by human or pets, because steam temperature is high and may cause burns!.
  9. Do not leave appliance unattended while plugged in or while it is still hot.
  10. Do not roll the power cord around the appliance for storage until ii has cooled down completely.
  11. Do not attempt to open the cabinets or dismantle any part from the appliance; there are no serviceable parts inside.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • To avoid circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit.
  • If an extension cord is absolutely necessary a 6 ampere cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.

HOW TO ATTACH AND DETACH THE FABRIC BRUSH

  1. Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply.

  2. Allow the appliance to cool down completely, if it has been heated.

  3. Hold the appliance safely on hand and attach the fabric brush onto its steam head, ii locks into position with an audible click (See Fig.1 ).

  4. After using this appliance, allow ii cools down completely and simply pull on the top of the fabric brush to remove it. (See Fig.2)

Note: The fabric brush can be used in upside or downside of the grip.

HOW TO FILL WATER

  1. Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before filling with water.

  2. Allow the appliance to cool down completely, if ii has been healed.

  3. Hold the appliance safely while filling.

  4. Release the water inlet cover, and then fill-in water through the water inlet hole (See Fig.3).

  5. Fill up to the ‘Max’ level marked on the side of the water tank.

  6. Replace the water inlet cover.

  7. Clean the split water by a dry cloth

Note: Fill the water tank with tap de-scaled water or any other liquids.

FIRST TIME USE

  1. Remove any protective films or stickers from the steamer and the cabinet if any.
  2. Unwind and straighten the power cord.
  3. Fill the water tank with water as described in “HOW TO FILL WATER”.
  4. Attach the fabric brush as described in “HOW TO ATTACH AND DETACH THE FABRIC BRUSH”.
  5. Connect the appliance to a suitable main supply outlet.
  6. Once the appliance is plugged in, the pilot light will turn ON. keep pressing the steam button while the Steamer is heating up to ensure power supply to the steamer.
  7. To begin steaming, press the steam button facing away from you, in vertical position.
  8. For the first time steaming with an old garments or towel. Important: When using this appliance or while it is heating up, do not put it down on its steam head. Lay it down on its appliance flat base.

STEAMING THE CLOTHES

  1. Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply.

  2.  Fillthewatertankwith water as described in “HOW TO FILL WATER”.

  3. Check the appliance is heated, and allow it cool down completely before attaching the fabric brush as described in “HOW TO ATTACH AND DETACH THE FABRIC BRUSH”.

  4. Connect the appliance to a suitable main supply outlet.

  5. Once the appliance is plugged in, the pilot light will turn ON. keep pressing the steam button while the Steamer is heating up to ensure power supply to the steamer.

  6. Hang the wrinkled article of clothing on a clothes hanger.

  7. Pull the clothing tight with one hand.

  8. Gently press the fabric brush against the clothing and move the fabric brush down the fabric. Keep pressing the steam button.

  9. The combination of steam and fabric brush will gently remove the wrinkles on clothes.

  10. Do not press the steam button more than three times successively when pilot light will turn off.

  11. After steaming the clothes, letthe garment cool down before wearing.

  12. Disconnect the appliance from mains supply outlet.

  13. When the steamer get cool down completely, then empty the water remaining in the tank and store it in safe place.

Warning: Do not touch the steam head while or after using, until it cools completely.
Important: Do not apply steam on any clothes or fabrics that are being worn human or pets. Temperature of steam is high.

EMPTYING AND STORING

  1.  Disconnect the appliance from mains supply.

  2. Allow the steamer get cools completely, if it has been heated.

  3. Release the water tank inlet cover.

  4. Hold the appliance upside down and gently shake it to remove the remaining water (See Fig.5).

  5. Replace the water tank inlet cover.

  6. When the steamer gets cool down completely, then store it in a safe place.

CLEANING THE APPLIANCE

  1. Disconnect the appliance from mains supply.
  2. Allow the steamer get cools completely, if it has been heated.
  3. Remove the fabric brush from its steam head.
  4. Use a damp cloth or non-scratching cleaner to remove any dusts on a steam head and cabinets.
  5. After cleaning, store it in safe place.

This appliance is warranted for 2 years against all manufacturing defects from the date of sale. In the event of any complaint, please contact USHA Care at Toll Free No. 1800-1 033-111 .

  1. The appliance has been used and maintained in accordance with the instruction manual.
  2. The warranty card and cash memo duly signed by the authorized dealer are presented with the complaint.
  3. The appliance has not been opened or tampered with, by any unauthorized person.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY FOR:

  1. Damages due to chipping, peeling, plating and denting.
  2. Breakage or damage to components made out of Bakelite, Urea, ABS, SAN and such plastic materials, rubber parts and cord.
  3. Normal wear and tear of parts.
  4. Damage resulting from accidents, mishandling or negligence on part of the customer.
