Modem Information

| | After the cable modem is successfully registered on the network, the Power, DS, US, and Online indicators illuminate continuously to indicate that the cable modem is online and fully operational. For more details, refer to the Modem Lights section.| | |

| | The gateway includes the following connection ports:

  • LAN – Connects devices to the 10/100/1000 RJ45 Ethernet port
  • RST – Used to restore to factory defaults and reboot the modem
  • CABLE – Connects to a coaxial cable
  • POWER – Connects to the power adapter

| | The information below is usually found on a sticker located on the bottom of the gateway.

  • The S/N is the serial number.
  • The CM MAC is the MAC address.

Troubleshooting

The lights indicate the current status of your gateway. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.

Modem Light Status Problem

Power
| On| None – the modem is powered on
Off| No power
DS (Downstream)| Solid Blue| None – 16 downstream channels are in use
Blinking Green| None – 15 or less downstream channels are in use
Blinking Blue| None – scanning for downstream channel
Off| No downstream channels are in use
US (Upstream)| Solid Blue| None – 4 upstream channels are in use
Blinking Green| None – 3 or less downstream channels are in use
Blinking Blue| None – scanning for an upstream channel
Off| No upstream channels are in use
Online| Solid Blue| None – the modem is online in DOCSIS 3.0 mode
Solid Green| None – the modem is online in DOCSIS 2.0 mode
Blinking Blue| None – the modem is registering a connection
Off| The modem is offline
Link| Solid Blue| None – a device is connected using a 100/1000 connection
Blinking Blue| None – data is being transferred over the connection
Solid Green| None – a device is connected using a 10/100 connection
Blinking Green| None – data is being transferred over the connection
Off| No device is connected or the device is disabled
