Find or delete App Clips on your iPhone or iPad
An App Clip is a free, mini version of an app. You can get App Clips on websites, in stores, in Maps or Messages, and more.
How to delete App Clips
If you don’t use an App Clip for 30 days, it’s automatically deleted from your device. You can also delete App Clips in Settings:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap App Clips.
- Tap Delete.
If you can’t download an App Clip
If you expect to see an App Clip but it doesn’t appear, try this.

You might already have the full app. Look for the app on your Home screen or search for it in your App Library.

You might have disabled App Clips. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Content Restrictions, then select Allow for App Clips.

You might not be signed in to the App Store. Open the App Store, tap the sign-in button , and sign in with your Apple ID and password.

If you turned on Private Browsing in Safari, App Clips don’t appear in Safari.

Turn off notifications from App Clips
If you don’t want to receive notifications from App Clips, you can turn them off. Go to Settings > Notifications > App Clips and turn off App Clips.
