OPEN LOCK
(USE OPENING INDEX)
- Always turn the dial slowly and carefully
- Use the Opening Index to OPEN
- On the last turn for each number, stop exactly when the number is in line with the Opening Index. In case you turned too far, you cannot correct this by turning back.
- In case of an error, start over beginning with the first number.
- Never force the Dial. It must always turn smoothly. If not, ask a service technician to have a look at the lock or contact your safe supplier.
CHANGING THE COMBINATION
(USE CHANGING INDEX)
The lock is shipped from the factory on “SO”. Using the changing index, turn
the dial to the left and pass “SO” four (4 times) and stop exactly on “50” on
it’s fifth appearance. Insert the change key into the back of the lock in the
hole marked with the arrow. Make certain the change key is fully inserted and
turn the change key to the right. DO NOT FORCE THE CHANGE KEY.
With the change key properly inserted into the lock, you may now dial in your
NEW combination, using the CHANGING INDEX. PLEASE, DO NOT SET THE LAST NUMBER
OF THE COMBINATION BETWEEN 78 AND 98 (FORBIDDEN ZONE).
| 4 x| Turn LEFT, pass second number in your combination THREE times and stop
the FORTH time, when the number line is fully lined up with the CHANGING INDEX
---|---|---
| 3 x| Turn RIGHT, pass third number in your combination TWO times and stop
the THIRD time, when the code number line is fully lined up with the CHANGING
INDEX
| 2 x| Turn LEFT, pass forth number in your combination ONE time and stop the
SECOND time, when the number line is fully lined up with the CHANGING INDEX
While holding the dial in place, turn the change key to the left and pull it
out from the lock. If you do not hold the dial while removing the change key,
it may cause the wheels to turn and the combination will not function.
BEFORE CLOSING THE SAFE DOOR, DIAL THE NEW COMBINATION USING THE OPENING
INDEX USING THE SAME DIALING SEQUENCE ABOVE. AFTER YOUR NEW COMBINATION HAS
BEEN DIALED IN, TURN THE DIAL TO THE RIGHT AND STOP ON “92” AND TURN THE
HANDLE OF YOUR SAFE TO OPEN.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS – ELECTRONIC LOCK
General
The lock operates with a numeric six-digit code or a word with 6 letters. A
secondary code can be added. Each key press is confirmed with an audio and
light signal.
After entry of a valid code, a double signal follows. An invalid entry is
followed by a long signal. After 10 seconds without entry, an already started
code entry is cancelled.
Open
Bring handle in neutral position (not engaged to left or right). Enter code
(factory code = 1-2-3-4-5-6), unlock door and open. If not opened within 3
seconds, the lock secures automatically. (If the code entry failed on first
attempt wait 20 seconds before re-entering. Three long beeps indicate the lock
bolt is jammed. Release the handle and re-enter code.)
Locking
Close door and turn handle fully to closing position. The lock is secured.
Manipulation Protection
Entry of four consecutive invalid codes — keypad is blocked for 5 minutes.
During this period, the light flashes every 10 seconds and any key press
causes a long signal. After expiration, entry of two more invalid codes
restarts the 5 minute blocking period.
Safety Reference
All codes are to be securely stored. Do not use personal data (i.e. Birthdays,
telephone numbers, etc), as the code. Change the factory code before you start
using the safe!
Activate the Second Opening Code
Press and hold key /until double signal and light stays ON.
- Enter main code
- Enter Secondary code twice (Double signal after each entry)
(The secondary code can be changed like the main code. With the main code, the
secondary code can be deleted. The main code cannot be deleted.)
Change Code(s)
Press and hold key 0 until double signal and light stays ON.
- Enter old code (double signal)
- Enter new code (double signal). Repeat new code (double signal).
(In case of entry errors, there is a long signal. The old code remains valid.)
Delete Second Opening Code
Press and hold key 3 until double signal and light stays ON. Enter main code.
The secondary code is deleted.
Battery Low
A series of signals on opening indicates the battery is weak and must be
replaced. Use only 9V ALKALINE batteries! Battery compartment is located at
bottom of Input.
