Important safety information

  1. Keep the product and all its parts out of reach of small children.

  2. Do NOT leave it in high temperatures as electronic devices and plastic parts may warp in heat. No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the product.

  3. Do NOT leave it in low temperatures as moisture can form inside the product, which may damage the circuit board.

  4. Do NOT attempt to open the product. This product does not contain any user serviceable parts. Unauthorised handling of the device may damage it and will void your warranty.

  5. Disconnect your Radio from the mains power supply during thunderstorms.

  6. Always check that you have completely switched off your Radio, before you change or disconnect the power supply.

  7. If the Radio will not be used for a long period of time, make sure that all of the batteries are removed from the battery compartment and the mains power is unplugged.

  8. Never throw batteries in a fire or attempt to open the outer casing. Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
    Dispose of old batteries carefully.

  9. Batteries are harmful if swallowed, so keep away from young children.

Caution: Danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced.

Operation

CHARGING THE BATTERY: Before using, please fully charge the battery using the supplied Type-C USB cable (charge time is approximately 4 hours). Plug in to any USB port supplying power (Laptop, AC Charger, Car Charger, etc.). The battery will show a solid white light indicating that the radio is charging. when fully charged the light will switch off.

TURN RADIO ON: Press the ON button on the back of the radio.

TURN RADIO OFF: Press the OFF button on the back of the radio.

NOTE: Once fully charged the battery will last for approximately 72 hours whilst in standby mode (i.e. Dimmer and Radio are set to off ) before recharging is required.

NOTE: The clock display will always be illuminated while the battery contains a charge, this can be adjusted using the dimmer function detailed below.

SETTING THE CLOCK: While in clock mode (ensure radio function is off) long press the “Time Set” button and the hour number will begin to flash, short press the “MEM-/TUN-” or “MEM+/TUN+” buttons to adjust the hours (making sure you are setting to AM or PM, the PM LED will illuminate on the display if a PM time is set), then short press the “Time Set” button again and the minutes number will begin to flash, short press the “MEM-/TUN-” or “MEM+/TUN+” buttons to adjust the minutes, and finally short press the “Time Set” button to save the time setting and exit.
12/24 Hours
You can switch between 12 and 24 hour clock modes by pressing the 12/24H button on the back of the radio.

FM RADIO & CHANNEL SCANNING: Short press the “ON/OFF” button to turn the FM function on or off. Long press the “ON/OFF” button again to search for channels automatically, all available channels will be saved after the auto search ends. Or you can long press the “MEM-/TUN-” or “MEM+/TUN+” buttons to manually search for channels.

MOVING A PRESET CHANNEL: Short press the “MEM-/TUN-” or “MEM+/TUN+” buttons to select a station to move then long press the “SLEEP” button and the LED screen will display a flashing “P..” press the “MEM-/TUN-” or “MEM+/TUN+” buttons to choose your favourite channel position number (P01..P20), then press “SLEEP” again to save the channel manually; Repeat as required then short press the “VOL” buttons to adjust the volume

ALARM MODE: While in clock mode (ensure radio is set to off), short press the “Alarm Clock 1” button twice to turn Alarm clock 1 on or off. When the Alarm clock 1 indicator is lit, long press the “Alarm Clock 1” button, and the hour number will begin to flash, short press the “MEM-/TUN-” or “MEM+/TUN+” buttons to adjust the hour. Once you have set the hour, short press the “Alarm Clock1” button, the minute numbers will begin to flash, short press the “MEM-/TUN-” button or “MEM+/TUN+” buttons to adjust the minutes. Once you have set the minutes, short press the “Alarm Clock1” button again, The panel will then display “BUZ” (Buzzer)you can short press the “MEM-/TUN-”  or “MEM+/TUN+” buttons to select “RAD” (FM radio) or “BUZ” (Buzzer) as the default alarm tone, then short press the “Alarm Clock1” button to save all settings and exit.

NOTE: If radio is selected as the alarm tone it will default to the last preset channel that was being listened too.

Once you have finished the alarm tone setting, short press the “Alarm Clock 1” button, the Panel display will show “VOL number”, short press the “MEM-/TUN-” or “MEM+/TUN+” buttons to select the volume for the alarm tone, Vol 5 (Min) Vol 16 (Max), then short press the “Alarm Clock 1” button to save your settings and exit.

NOTE: When the alarm rings it will begin at its default Vol 5 and ascend until it reaches your volume setting choice.

To stop the alarm when it rings, short press the “Alarm Clock1” button and it will stop and ring again the next day at the same time unless it is switched off.
For setting Alarm Clock 2 please follow instructions as for Alarm clock 1.

SLEEP MODE: While in FM radio mode, short press the “Sleep Mode” button to select 120/90/ 60/ 45/ 30/ 15 minutes to turn off the FM mode automatically the sleep LED on the display will illuminate to confirm that sleep mode is active or select “OFF” to turn off the Sleep mode.

SNOOZE/DIMMER FUNCTION:

SNOOZE: Short press the “Snooze/Dimmer” button when the alarm rings, the alarm will stop and the alarm indicator flashes to confirm that the snooze function is active, the alarm will ring again after 9 minutes.

DIMMER: Short press the “Snooze/Dimmer” button to choose from 4 different levels of brightness for the display, select from either off/ low/medium or high.

Subject to the conditions stated below, Groov-e guarantees this equipment against defects in workmanship or materials of its mechanical and electronic component parts (excluding styling, battery cells, magnetic tapes, re- chargeable batteries, user removeable memory devices, with the exception where the battery is inbuilt into the product) for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This product will be repaired or if necessary replaced free of charge if it has been proven to be defective within the one year warranty period

  1. Claims under this guarantee should be made through the authorised dealer/retailer from whom the equipment was purchased. If this is not possible, please contact Groov-e directly.

  2. This guarantee is only valid when the equipment is purchased and retained within the United Kingdom and a valid proof of purchase has been provided.

  3. This Guarantee Excludes:
    (i) All damage caused through accident, misuse, wear and tear, neglect, installation and/or use in a manner inconsistent with technical and safety standards.
    (ii) Alterations or adjustments made to equipment
    (iii) Loss of data resultant from malfunction of hard drive or other storage device
    (iv) Damage caused to any third party device as a result of using the product.

  4. No liability under this guarantee shall be incurred:
    (i) In respect of damage or loss occurring during transit to or from the purchaser
    (ii) Where the serial number plate of the equipment has been removed or altered in any way.

  5. Groov-e shall not be liable for consequential damage, loss or injury arising from or in connection with the equipment, excepting only that nothing in this condition shall or shall be construed so as to exclude or restrict liability for negligence.

  6. The cost of carriage to and from Groov-e shall be borne by the purchaser.

  7. This guarantee is personal to the original purchaser and is not transferable.re

  8. If the equipment, in respect of which a claim hereunder is made, is found on examination to
    comply with the published specifications, a test fee may be incurred
