Initial Release: P331

ESD Caution –Handling

Static electricity may be discharged through this disk subsystem. In extreme cases, this may temporarily interrupt the operation or damage components. To prevent this, make sure you are working in an ESD- safe environment. For example, before handling the disk subsystem, touch a grounded device, such as a computer case.

Overview

This document describes fixes for the Lightning 6Gb/s SAS SSD firmware

P331 Firmware

The P331 firmware contains the following fix:

  • Fixed issue for Read-Intensive models where the drive was incorrectly determining that Flash blocks were failing due to WL-WL shorts and would mistakenly increment the GLIST up to the point of running out of spares. This may lead the drive to assert and report a SMART trip 04/32/00 (out of spare blocks).
