The Auray BP series Carbon Fiber and Aluminum Boom Poles are lightweight and durable solutions for electronic newsgathering (ENG). electronic field production IEFP). and documentary and field recording. Use them whenever placing a microphone close to the subject—while remaining at a distance or out of frame—is essential.
Whatever your needs, there’s a BP boom pole that will Save time and el fort while reducing tunneling fatigue.

Instructions

Adjusting the length of the boom pole

  1. Loosen the twist locks and extend the sections.
  2. Once the sections are extended to the desired length. tighten the twist locks until secure.

Tip: When extending boom pole. start with the top sections first. This way. you will be able to reach the remaining twist locks as you lengthen the pole.

Collapsing the boom pole

  1. Hold the boom pole at its base Loosen the nearest twist lock and collapse the section.
  2. Repeat this for the other twist locks until the pole is collapsed.

Adjusting and collapsing the BP-36A

Twist the boom pole’s section to unlock it and adjust the length. Twist the section in the opposite direction to lock it in place.

Replacing the coiled XLR cable

(BP-47A. BP-S9A. and BP-28CC only)
The coiled XLR cable can be replaced on any of the BP boom poles that are equipped with cables. Follow the instructions included with the cable replacement kit (sold separately).

One Year Limited Warranty

This Auray product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after replacement, whichever occurs later. The warranty provider’s responsibility with respect to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at the provider’s discretion, of any product that fails during normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended environment. The Inoperability of the product or part(s) shall be determined by the warranty provider. If the product has been discontinued, the warranty provider reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent quality and function.

This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper installation or maintenance. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, THE WARRANTY PROVIDER MAKES NEITHER ANY EXPRESS WARRANTIES NOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This warranty provides you with specific legal rights, and you may also have additional rights that vary from state to state.

To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Auray Customer Service Department to obtain a return merchandise authorization (“RMA’) number, and return the defective product to auray along with the RMA number and proof of purchase. Shipment of the defective product is at the purchaser’s own risk and expense.
