Safety regulations

  • This appliance is intended for commercial use only.
  • Only use the appliance for the intended purpose it was designed for as described in this manual.
  • The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by incorrect operation and improper use.
  • Keep the appliance and electrical plug away from water and other liquids. In the event the appliance falls into water, immediately remove the power plug from the socket.
  • Do not use the appliance until it has been checked by a certified technician. Failure to follow these instructions will cause life threatening risks.
  • Never attempt to open the housing of the appliance by yourself
  • Do not insert objects into the housing of the appliance.
  • Do not touch the plug with wet or damp hands.
  • Danger of electric shock! Do not attempt to repair the appliance by yourself, repairs are only to be conducted by qualified personnel.
  • Never use a damaged appliance! When it’s damaged, disconnect the appliance from the socket and contact the retailer.
  • Warning! Do not immerse the electrical parts of the appliance in water or other liquids.
  • Never hold the appliance under running water.
  • Regularly check the power plug and cord for any damage. When damaged it must be replaced by a service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid danger or injury.
  • Make sure the cord does not come in contact with sharp or hot objects and keep it away from open fire. Never pull the power cord to unplug it from the socket, always pull the plug instead.
  • Make sure that the power cord and/or extension cord do not cause a trip hazard.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
  • Warning! As long as the plug is in the socket the appliance is connected to the power source.
  • Turn off the appliance before unplugging it from the socket.
  • Connect the power plug to an easily accessible electrical socket so that in case of emergency the appliance can be unplugged immediately.
  • Never carry the appliance by the cord.
  • Do not use any extra devices that are not supplied together with the appliance.
  • Only connect the appliance to an electrical outlet with the voltage and frequency mentioned on the appliance label.
  • Never use accessories other than those recommended by the manufacturer. Failure to do so could pose a safety risk to the user and could damage the appliance. Only use original parts and accessories. 4 EN
  • This appliance should not be operated by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or persons that have a lack of experience and knowledge.
  • This appliance should, under any circumstances, not be used by children.
  • Keep the appliance and its power cord out of reach of children.
  • WARNING: ALWAYS switch off the appliance and unplug from power socket before cleaning, maintenance or storage

Special Safety Regulations

  • Use the appliance only as described in this manual.

  • This appliance should be operated by trained personnel in kitchen of the restaurant, canteens or bar staff, etc.

  • Caution! Danger of burns! The temperature of the heating surface and other accessible surface is very high during use. Touch the control panel only.

  • Caution! This appliance will emit non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation.

  • An equipotential bonding terminal is provided to allow cross bonding with other equipment.

  • Do not place the appliance near objects that may be affected by a magnetic field TVs, radios, bank cards and credit cards.

  • WARNING! To avoid the risk of fire, do not allow the oil level to drop below the MIN – level. Always use plenty of oil in the oil tank.

  • WARNING! Keep all ventilation openings clear of obstruction.

  • WARNING! Do not fry too much food at once. Maximum load is approximately 2kg per time.

  • Do not use old oil as this may increase the risk of fire.

  • Do not fill oil below MIN – level and beyond the MAX – level in the oil tank.

  • IMPORTANT: Always ensure that there is sufficient oil in the oil tank. Check it regularly during operation.

  • Do not place the appliance on a heated object (gasoline, electric, charcoal  cooker, etc.).
    Keep the appliance away from any hot surfaces and open flames. Always operate the appliance on a level, stable, clean, heat-resistant and dry surface.

  • This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

  • Allow at least 20 cm of space around the appliance for ventilation purpose during use.

  • Do not use water jets or flush directly with water or steam cleaner as the parts will get wet and an electric shock might occur.

  • Do not clean or store the appliance unless it is completely cooled down.

  • IMPORTANT: Always ensure that the high quality filter at the bottom isn’t blocked. Check it before operation and when needed, clean it.

  • Regularly change the old oil to reduce releasing of dioxins which are carcinogenic.

Intended use

  • The appliance is intended for professional use.
  • The appliance is designed only for frying appropriate food only such as French fries, etc. Any other use may lead to damage of the appliance or personal injury
  • Operating the appliance for any other purpose shall be deemed a misuse of the device. The user shall be solely liable for improper use of the device.

Grounding installation
This appliance is classified as protection class I and must be connected to a protective ground. Grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.
This appliance is fitted with a power cord that has a grounding wire and grounded plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.

Touch control panel of the appliance

  1. Product Overview ON/OFF:
    Switch ON / Switch OFF

  2. TIMER:
    Time setting up to 15 minutes

  3. UP:
    Increase Time / Temperature

  4. DOWN:
    Decrease Time / Temperature

  5. FILL OIL:
    Fill oil alert indicator

  6. Digital display:
    Show the Time / Temperature

  7. HEATING:
    Heating indicator

  8. KEEP WARM:
    Keep warm indicator

Preparations before using for the first time

  • Remove all protective packaging and wrapping.
  • Check to make sure the appliance is undamaged. In case of incomplete delivery and damages. Please contact supplier (See == > Warranty).
  • Clean the appliance before use (See == > Cleaning and Maintenance).
  • Make sure the appliance is completely dry.
  • Place the appliance on a horizontal, stable and heat resist surface that is safe against water splashes. Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation. Keep a minimum distance of 20 cm around the appliance bottom of cookware
  • Do not place the appliance in close proximity to devices which are sensitive to disturbances by magnetic sources (e.g. radios, tape decks).

Note: Due to manufacturing residues, the appliance may emit a slight odor in the first few cycles. This is normal and does not indicate any defect or hazard. Make sure the appliance is well ventilated.

Switch ON

  • Make sure the tap is closed and that the oil tank
    has enough oil, level should be between MIN and MAX marking.

  • Connect the power plug to a suitable electrical supply outlet.

  • Next, press the power switch at the rear side of the appliance to connect the power supply. Green indicator on the power switch will light up.

  • Now the appliance is connected to electrical supply.

Operation

  • Press ON / OFF (1) to switch ON the appliance. FILL OIL (5) indicator flashes and buzzer sound will be heard to alert the user to fill up the oil tank container.
  • Then, please make sure again the oil level is between the MIN and MAX marking.
  • If the oil tank contains enough oil, press FILL OIL (5) to cancel the buzzer sound and the indicator light. The display will show the default temperature of 140°C.
  • After that, press UP (3) or DOWN (4) button to increase or decrease the temperature. (Range: 60°C ~ 190°C, with 5°C interval).
  • When the oil doesn’t reach the set temperature, “HEATING Indicator” will light up and “KEEP WARM Indicator” will go out.
  • When the oil temperature reaches the set temperature, “HEATING Indicator” will go out and the “KEEP WARN Indicator” will light up.

Note: During operation, if no temperature is set, the appliance will maintain to the default temperature 140°C.

Setting Timer

  • Timer can be set by pressing the TIMER (2) to enter TIMER mode.

  • Then, press UP (3) or DOWN (4) to increase or
    decrease the time. (Range: 0 min ~ 15 mins , with
    30 seconds interval). Default setting is 0 min.

  • When the timer is set, it will be stored automatically within 5 seconds. Then, timer will be started to count down from the set time.

  • Display (6) will alternate between Time remaining / Set temperature.

  • When the set time has elapsed, a beeping sound (long and short) will be heard and “End” will be shown in the display (6). The appliance will keep on heating if the set temperature isn’t reached.

  • Press and hold the UP (3) or DOWN (4) for fast adjustment of timer

Note:

  1. Press and hold the increase setting button.
    (3) or decrease setting button (4) for fast adjustment.

  2. Every time, you press any button on the panel, a short beep sound will be heard to alert the user.

  3. After an extended period of operation, it is normal for the cooling fan inside to continue running in OFF mode for some time. Before unplug the appliance, wait until the cooling fan stops running.

  4. The appliance’s outer surface is still hot even after switch to OFF mode. Please wait the appliance completely cool down before touching or cleaning.

  5. If no any button on the control panel is pressed during operation for 4 hours, the appliance will then switch to OFF mode automatically.

RESET the Hi-limiter (Thermal cut-out)
Attention: Please note that there is a RESET button located at the rear side of the appliance to prevent the appliance from overheated.

  • Unplug the appliance from the electrical power outlet and allow the appliance to completely cool down.
  • Unscrew the black protective cap of the RESET button
  • Press the RESET button of the Hi-limiter (Thermal cut-out). You should hear a click sound.
  • Screw back the protective cap on the RESET button.

Cleaning and Maintenance :
Attention: Always unplug the appliance from the electrical power outlet and let it cool down completely before cleaning & storage.

Cleaning

  • Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
  • Clean the surface with a slightly damp cloth or sponge with some mild soap solution.
  • Never use abrasive sponges or detergents, steel wool or metal utensils to clean the interior or exterior parts of the appliance.

Storage

  • Before storage, always make sure the appliance has already been disconnected from the electrical outlet and cooled down completely.
  • Store the appliance in a cool, clean and dry place

Troubleshooting

If the appliance does not function properly, please check the below table for the solution. If you are still unable to solve the problem, please contact the supplier/service provider.

  • Power plug is not connected properly with the electrical outlet.

Warranty

Any defect affecting the functionality of the appliance which becomes apparent within one year after purchase will be repaired by free repair or replacement provided the appliance has been used and maintained in accordance with the instructions and has not been abused or misused in any way. When decommissioning the appliance, the product must not be disposed of with other household waste. Instead, it is your responsibility to dispose to your waste equipment by handing it over to a designated collection point. The separate collection and recycling of your waste equipment at the time of disposal will help conserve natural re-sources and ensure that it is recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment.
