Troubleshooting
Question 1: Why does the screen display to’ in the same environment?
Answer: Possibilities:
-
The measurements distance is too far. The device may have measured the temperature of the environment. The thermometer is designed to measure temperature within a distance of 1-3cm. The best distance is around 1cm.
-
The measurements position is improper. The thermometer should be aimed at the center of one’s forehead and should be vertical.
-
The measured person may have hair, perspiration, water over his The person may have been cooling compressed, Antipyretics prescribed, blown by the cold wind. The measurements should be retaken after the measured person stays in a stable environment for 5-10 minutes.
Very few people have lower forehead temperatures than others when they were born. In this occasion, the results may remain to be ‘Lo’. The user could select ‘In Surface Mode’ to measure the target as well as other people’s forehead surface temperature. The comparison could be made under the contract. -
overall temperature error.
Question 2: Feels like the result is inaccurate when first use. Why? Answer: Advice for the 1st use are listed as follows:
- Place the thermometer in a stable environment for more than 30 minutes;
- Take the temperature of a person using a conventional thermometer, getting a 36.8°C result for instance;
- Take the temperature of the same person using the non-contact infrared thermometer. Keep the 1-3 cm distance between the thermometer and the forehead, take care to remove any obstacle which could alter the measurements (hair, ..). If a similar result is got, the non-contact infrared thermometer is properly set and ready for use.
Question 3: Is there any harm to the human body using the infrared
thermometer? Is there any radiation?
Answer: Infrared thermometer is used to measure human body temperature by
collecting infrared radiation of the human body. It passively receives
infrared radiation energy. It does not need to contact the human body directly
and does not bring cross-infection of different human bodies. The thermometer
has no radiation to the human body, so it has no harm to the human body.
Question 4: The thermometer shows temperature over-high and over-low to all tested people, is it a product quality problem? Answer: This kind of problem is generally caused by the setting of the thermometer. It can be corrected according to the user’s instructions.
Temperature Knowledge
The human body is a complex biological comprehensive system. Body temperature is an important feature of the human body and life. Usually, we check the temperature of the forehead, cochlea, anus, oral cavity, and underarms to evaluate our health condition. Different body parts own different regular temperatures.
Tested body part| Normal
temperature| Age| Normal
temperature
---|---|---|---
temperature lea| 35.8-38°C| 0-2 years old| 36.4-38°C
Forehead temperature| 34.7-37.8°C| 3-10 years old| 36.1-37.8°C
Oral temperature| 35.5 -37.5°C| 11-65 years old| 35.9-37.6°C
Underarm temperature| 34.7-37.3°C| >65 years old| 35.8-37.5°C
Anus temperature| 36.6-38°C| |
Human body temperature changes with time within a day and is also affected by
other extemal conditions such as age, gender, skin color, skin thickness, and
age. Specifications are listed in the table.
There exist differences between female body temperature and male body
temperature. Generally speaking, men are about 0.3 C higher. Female body
temperature during ovulation will rise 0.3 C to 0.5 C than usual. Therefore,
we can use this to know whether a woman is in the ovulation period to
facilitate heredity or contraception.
The usual method is to use a thermometer to measure the basal body temperature of a female individual every day, and then convert it into a basal body temperature change curve chart, which can clearly see the ovulation period.
