OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • Rotate the motor shaft by hands to ensure that it rotates freely and smoothly.

  • Hold the jar in one hand and check through coupler that the blades rotate freely (Fig.1).

  • Place the ingredients in the jar; properly cover the jar with the lid. Place the jar on the power unit, press gently and rotate clockwise to lock (Fig. 2).

  • Plug the power cord into the electric supply socket.

  • For unlocking the jar, press it downwards and then turn anti-clockwise and lift the jar from the basic unit.

  • Place the mixer grinder on a flat stable surface and at a
    convenient height so that you can operate easily.

  • You should be able to look at the attachments to check circulation of the ingredients.

  • Make some empty space around the unit to keep the various items required while operating the mixer grinder.

  • Ensure that the lid is securely & tightly fitted to the jar before running the mixer grinder.

  • For dry/wet jar and chutney jar grinding, use speeds “Low” & “Med” for 30 seconds each, thereafter use speed “High” to finish grinding.

  • The mixer grinder is protected against overloading of the motor.

  • The overload could be due to excess ingredients in the jar or overheating of motor.

  • The automatic tripping mechanism (called OLP) cuts off the motor in the event of motor overloading. If this happens, allow the motor to cool for 2 to 3 minutes and remove the excess ingredient and reset OLP provided at the bottom of the main unit to restart operation (the thin red button).

**Hold the jar coupler at the bottom

**Tighten the blade knob (black) with the spatula (anti-clockwise direction)

CLEANING AND CARE

  1. Do not wash the unit under direct running water. Instead, use wet cloth to wipe dust and stains.
    The unit should be in OFF condition and unplugged while cleaning.

  2. Do not use harsh cleaners and abrasive materials.

  3. Clean the lid, jars and spatula in water containing a mild detergent.

  • 500 ml milk (sugar as per taste).
    For upto 1.2 L capacity: 2 pcs banana + 50 g Ice cream (optional) + 300 ml milk (sugar as per taste).| 3 min
    Lassi| For 1.5 L & lesser jar capacities 300 g curd + salt / sugar (as per taste).| 1 min
    Tomato puree| For 1.5 L & lesser jar capacities 250 g medium sized tomatoes cut in 4 pieces.| 2 min

Turmeric

| For 1.0 L capacity: 250g of assorted spices roasted and cooled. For 0.8 L capacity: 200 g of assorted spices roasted and cooled.| 3 min

  • 80g garlic| 2 min
    Wet masala| For 0.3 L & 0.4 L : 100 g onion + 60g tomato| 2 min

For initial any of the above operation used speed ‘I’ & speed ‘II’ for 15 seconds, thereafter use speed ‘III’ till you finish grinding. Remove the plug from the socket after use.

Recommended quantities for blending with fruit filter

Qty.          Fruit
250 g : Tomatoes (cut fruits into small pieces and start blending after adding 50 ml of water)
250 g: Grapes
250 g: Water melon/ sweet lime/ orange (cut into small pieces)

Instructions:

  1. The appliance shall only be connected to single phase AC Power source.
  2. After every use of food- mixer, pour little hot water into the bowl to remove the left over material, specially sticky substances, so that the cutter will rotate freely during the subsequent use.
  3. Switch off the appliance immediately when the motor stalls or emanates from the appliance.

This product is designed and intended for household use only

  1. Read all the instructions carefully.
  2. Always connect the mixer grinder to a 3-pin, 6-Amp, properly earthedpower supply socket.
  3. Keep the mixer grinder away from heat sources like gas or electric stove.
  4. Keep the mixer grinder out of reach of children.
  5. Do not bend or put excessive pressure on the power cord. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of the table or worktop or touch any hot surface.
  6. Do not operate the appliance if it malfunctions or is damaged in any manner.
  7. Ensure proper matching of blades and jar assembly. Guide for jar and blade connection has been provided separately in this manual. Please go through it carefully.
  8. Blades are sharp. Handle them carefully to avoid injury.
  9. Do not use any attachment other than those supplied. This may cause fire, electric shock or damage the product.
  10. Spatula may be used to stir the ingredients only when the machine is switched OFF.
  11. Keep hands and utensils away from moving parts to prevent personal injury and/or damage to the mixer grinder.
  12. Do not move the mixer grinder during operation.
  13. Never leave the mixer grinder unattended, while switched “ON”.
  14. Do not overfill the jars as this can damage the motor.
  15. Ensure that the mixer grinder is switched off/unplugged after each use. Do not pull the cord. Use the plug grip to unplug.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

NOTE

  1. Initial running of the jars will throw some oil impregnated in bushes. Slight smoke might also generate due to burning of the oil. Hence, it is advised to clean the jars thoroughly before use.
  2. First few runs of the motor may generate a mild burning smell. This is a common phenomenon which should not be a cause of worry.

WARRANTY

Orient Electric Limited (the Company) warrants to the customer/purchaser of this product that from the date of purchase, the Company will repair or replace free of charge any part of the product, should the Company be fully satisfied in its sole discretion that the defect/s is/are due to faulty material or defective workmanship only. The warranty will be subject to the following clauses:

  1. For warranty details, please refer the technical specification table for more clarity.
  2. The warranty is valid only if this warranty card is duly signed and stamped by our authorised dealer and is produced along with the original customer’s invoice copy.
  3. Warranty starts from the date of purchase from our authorised dealers/retailers only.
  4. The Company or its authorised service agent/dealer will repair/replace all parts failing due to faulty material or defective workmanship pertaining to the product.
  5. Only the Company’s authorised service agents/dealers can service/repair/attend to/install/reinstall the product.
  6. All expenses incurred in collecting the units or parts thereof from the Company’s authorised service stations or the dealer of the Company as well as expenses incurred in connection with deputing of service personnel/technicians towards to and fro travel conveyance and other incidentals, etc., will be borne by the customer/purchaser.
  7. The warranty extended herein is in lieu of all implied conditions and warranties under the law, and is confined to the repair or replacement of defective part and does not cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or loss, whether direct or indirect, arising from such defects. Furthermore, the warranty, in no case shall extend to payment or any monetary consideration whatsoever for the replacement or return of the product.
  8. This warranty does not cover corrosion, replacement of plastic or glass components which add decorative value to the product.
  9. The decision of the Company is final and binding on all matters arising out of this warranty.
  10. The warranty is issued at Delhi, and the courts of Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over the matters in this warranty.
  11. The warranty stands null and void in case the product is struck by a force majeure event, which shall include but not be limited to acts of God, including flood, earthquakes, any other natural calamity, accidents, war, fire, or any act of government or other competent authority.
  12. This warranty is applicable only in India.

In addition to the terms and conditions stated above, this warranty is not valid in case of any of the following events:

  1. The machine is not used according to the instructions given in the instruction/user manual.
  2. The warranty specifically excludes any problems arising out of mishandling, wilful damage, improper storage of the product/its parts.
  3. The electrical power supply voltages are not within the stipulated norms (supply voltage 230V AC – 50Hz).
  4. Any repair work/installation carried out by a person other than an Orient Electric Authorised Service Centre/Service Agent.
  5. Normal wear and tear of the product.
  6. Damage due to chipping, peeling of plating, denting.
  7. The serial number is deleted, defaced or altered.
  8. The original purchase receipt/invoice is not available.
