Take out following items from the box:

Motor &Stand Assembly
-
Guard&Blade Assembly
-
Base Assembly
-
Remove the cellotaph at the bottom of Base (A) and take out the screws (B) kept loosely from the slots.

Place the Stand Assembly with Motor (C) properly inside the cavity of Base, insert the back side of the assembly and then the front side such that three locking pegs (D) on Stand go inside the corresponding pocket on the Base and press until the ‘click’ sound is heard. Ensure that all the three pegs are locked properly. Now tighten the Stand from the bottom side of Base by two screws previously removed.

Open the Guard nut(1) & Blade fixing Nut (8) from Motor front by rotating anticlockwise & clockwise respectively. Place the Back guard (2) within two locating pips (3) on the Motor Front
(4). Tighten Guard nut (1) with the motor along with Guard by rotating clockwise. -
Slide the Blade (5) on the Motor Spindle (6) until located at
Cross locating pin (7). -
Rotate the Blade fixing Nut (8) anticlockwise on the Spindle (6) until it tighten the Blade (5) on the Cross locating pin on Spindle.

Place the Front guard (9) on Back Guard (2), in a position such that “Orient Electric” logo on the front Guard Trim becomes horizontal. Secure the assembly by tightening the screw provided on the bottom side of the Guard Ring (10).
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Place the fan on a firm level surface. Insert Plug of the power cord into any
standard 220-240V, 50Hz AC outlet.
In built ventilated type speed regulator.
- For Oscillation press down Knob (14). To stop Oscillation pull the knob upward.
- Do not try to Oscillate the fan manually.
- To Tilt the fan, hold the Guard (11) rotate the Thumb Screw(12)IN anticlockwise direction tilt the guard in desired angle, tighten the Thumb screw in clockwise direction.
- Ensure that the Switch knob(13)isin”O” (Off position), To change the speed of the fan push knob on Stand. Extreme left button is for ‘OFF’ and other three are for consecutive different speeds on rise.
AUTOMATICALLY OPERATED DEVICES. To reduce the risk of injury, disconnect from power supply before servicing.
CLEANING/ MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
During Season Care
- Before cleaning, ensure that the power supply is switched off and the plug is pulled out of the power supply socket.
- To clean the fan, carefully wipe the unit with a soft and clean cloth.
- DO NOT immerse the fan in water and never allow water to drip into the Motor Housing.
- Never use gasoline, benzene or thinner to clean the fan. This will damage the surface of the unit.
- After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with a cloth or towel.
After Season Care
- Your fan can be stored in the off-season.
- Before putting the fan in storage, clean thoroughly, cover with a vinyl bag and store in a cool and dry place. We recommend using the original (or appropriate sized) box.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical fans basic safety precautions should always be followed including the precautions given below:
- Use this fan only as described in this manual. Other uses are not recommended, may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
- To protect against electrical shock do not immerse fan, plug or cord in water or spray with liquids. Close supervision is necessary when the fan is used near children.
- Unplug the fan from the outlet socket when not in use or when moving fan from one place to another or before cleaning.
- Avoid contact with moving parts of the fan.
- po not operate in presence of explosive and/or inflammable gas.
- Do not place fan or any part near an open flame, cooking or any other heating appliance.
- Do not operate fan with a damaged cord plug or after the fan malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
- Do not let the cord come in contact with hot surface. For shifting the fan from one place to another make sure that the cord is removed w from the socket.
- Always use unary level surface.
- Never connect the fan to any power source other than 220-240V,AC, 50Hz Supply.
- Do not run cord under carpet. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or like. Arrange cord away from traffic areas where there is a
- possibility of tripping over.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons(including children)
- with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
- responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
WARNING
- Do not insert finger or any object through the guard.
- Do not use this fan with any solid state speed control device.
- There are no consumer serviceable part inside this fan.
- Do not attempt to open/ repair the fan on your own, doing so could cause damage to the fan and/ or lead personal injury.
- Users are not supposed to replace other than Orient spare parts in Orient product in case of any defect and must be serviced through Orient authorised service centre only.
- Supply Cord: Type V Attachment – If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
DISPOSAL:
- Do not dispose of electrical fans/accessories (including packing materials) as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities. Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems available.
- If these are disposed of in landfills or dumps, it may affect environment adversely.
