IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

To disconnect, turn the Timer and Toast shade knobs to the O position (OFF). Then unplug from wall outlet.

Do not use appliances for other than intended use.

Use caution when removing tray or disposing of hot grease.

Do not clean oven with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts, causing risk of electric shock.

Do not attempt to clean the heating elements.

Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in a toaster oven, as they may create fire or risk of electric shock.

A fire may occur if the toaster oven is covered or touching flammable materials including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
Do not store any item on top of the unit while in operation. -
Extreme caution should be exercised when using containers constructed of anything other than metal or glass.

Do not store any material, other than the manufacturer’s recommended accessories, in this oven when not in use.

Do not place any of the following materials in the oven: paper, cardboard, plastic, and other items not constructed of oven-safe metal and glass pans.

Do not cover crumb tray or any part of this oven with metal foil. This will cause overheating in the oven.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

Do not leave unattended while in operation. Food ignition may occur. If this happens, unplug the unit, but DO NOT open the door. To reduce the risk of fire, keep the oven interior completely clean and free of food residues, oil, grease and other combustible materials.

This product is for household use only.
GROUNDED PLUG
As a safety feature, this product is equipped with a grounded plug, which will
only fit into a three-prong outlet. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature. Improper connection of the grounding conductor may result in the risk
of electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to
whether the outlet is properly grounded.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent
the removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock,
do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts
inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.
ELECTRICAL CORD
a) A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their
use.
c) If an extension cord is used:
- The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
- If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord; and
- The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
Note: If the power cord is damaged, please contact the warranty department listed in these instructions.

There are three ways to turn the toaster oven ON:
- Turn the Timer knob to “Stay On”.
- Turn the Cooking Function control knob to Toast. Turn the Toast shade knob past medium shade and then to desired toast shade.
- Turn the Timer knob past 10 and then to the desired time.
TO TURN OFF: turn the Timer and Toast shade knobs to the 0 positions.
GETTING STARTED
This appliance is intended for household use only.
- Remove all packing material, any stickers, and the elastic band around the power plug.
- Remove and save literature.
- Please go to www.prodprotect.com/blackanddecker to register your warranty.
- Wash all removable parts as instructed in Care and Cleaning Section.
- Select a location where this unit is to be used, allowing enough space from the back of the unit and wall to allow heat to flow without damage to cabinets and walls. During operation, the unit should have 6 inches or more of clearance around the sides, back, and top.
- Before use, make sure that the crumb tray is inserted below the heating elements.
Important information about using your oven
- This oven gets hot. When in use, always use oven mitts or potholders when touching any outer or inner surface of the oven.
- When using the oven for the first time, you may notice smoke or a slight odor during the first few minutes. This is normal.
- Be sure food or baking pan does not come within 1 ½ inch (3.8 cm) of the top heating elements.
- Food should not extend beyond the edges of the baking pan to avoid drippings from falling onto the heating elements.
- Many factors influence cook times such as altitude, humidity and variations in electrical grids. For best results, monitor the end of the cook cycle.
- Cooking Containers: Metal, ovenproof glass or ceramic bakeware can be used in your oven. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Be sure the top edge of the container is at least 1 ½ inches (3.81cm) away from the upper heating elements.
- Temperatures in the oven will be lower than your set point. This is due to the advanced heating elements used in this oven. Temperature dial settings have been calibrated to provide expected results for most recipes taking into account the advanced heating elements.
- You must set the timer or select Stay On for the oven to function.
TOAST FUNCTION
- For best results, place the bread to be toasted directly on the slide rack.
- Toast up to 9 slices of bread. Center your items in the middle of the rack.
- Insert the slide rack and close the oven door.
- Turn the Temperature control knob to the Toast setting.
- Turn the Cooking Function control knob to Toast.
- Turn the separate precision toast shade knob to medium shade then desired toast shade: Light, Medium, or Dark.
- For best results, on the first toasting cycle, set the toast selector knob to Medium, then re-adjust to lighter or darker to suit your preference.
- The On indicator light comes on and remains on until the toasting cycle is complete.
- When the toast cycle is complete, there will be an audible signal. The oven and the On indicator light will turn off.
- Open the oven door. Using oven mitts or pot holders, slide the rack out to remove the toast.
- Unplug the appliance when not in use.
BAGEL FUNCTION
- For best results, place the bagels to be toasted directly on the slide rack, cut side up.
- Center your items in the middle of the rack.
- Insert the slide rack and close the oven door.
- Turn the Temperature control knob to the Toast setting.
- Turn the Cooking Function control knob to the Bagel/Broil function (vertical).
- Use the oven timer knob and set to the desired level using the bagel shade indicated.
- For best results, on first bagel cycle, set the timer knob in the middle between the light and dark bagel icons.
- The On indicator light comes on and remains on until the bagel cycle is complete.
- When the bagel cycle is complete, there will be an audible signal. The oven and the On indicator light will turn off.
- Open the oven door. Using oven mitts or pot holders, slide the rack out to remove the bagel.
- Unplug the appliance when not in use.
IMPORTANT: Be sure the top edge of the food or container is at least 1.5
inches (3.81 cm) away from the upper heating elements.
NOTE: Food should not extend beyond the edges of the bake pan/drip tray
to avoid drippings from falling onto the heating elements.
AIR FRY
Air Fry Technology uses high-intensity hot air to bake, brown, and crisp your
favorite fried foods with little to no oil.
Use the recommended cook times listed on page 11 or follow food package
instructions for baking. Adjust the cooking time as needed to achieve your
preferred crispiness.
NOTE: It is not necessary to preheat the oven for air frying.
NOTE: Arrange your food in a single layer on the mesh tray for optimal
air frying results.

Place food on Air Fry mesh rack
-
Open door and slide Air Fry mesh rack with food into the upper rack position.
-
Set both the Temperature and the Cooking control knobs to AIR FRY positions.
-
Turn the TIMER control knob to 20 and then turn to the desired time. Select Stay On to air fry longer than 60 minutes or to control cooking time yourself. The power indicator light comes on and remains on during the entire Air drying time.
NOTE: You must choose Stay On or set the timer for the oven to start. -
If using the oven timer, there will be an audible signal once the Air Fry cycle is complete. The oven turns off and the power indicator light goes out. If not using the oven timer, turn the oven off once the cooking cycle is complete.

Open the oven door. Using oven mitts or potholders, slide the rack out to remove the cooked food.
NOTE: Clean out the crumb tray frequently when using the air fry setting. -
Unplug the appliance when not in use.
BAKE FUNCTION
NOTE: For best results, when baking or cooking, preheat the oven for at least 10 minutes at the desired temperature setting.
- Turn the Temperature control knob to the desired temperature.
- Turn the Cooking Function control knob to Bake.
- Turn the Timer control knob to 20, and then turn back or forward to desired baking time, including preheat time. Select Stay On to bake longer than 60 minutes or to control cooking time yourself. Be sure to use a kitchen timer.
- The indicator light comes on and will remain lit during the entire baking time.
- The heating elements with a cycle on and off to maintain even heat distribution.
- Once the oven has preheated, open the oven door and insert food. Close oven door.
- When finished cooking, turn the Time control knob to Off. The power indicator light goes off. Use an oven mitt or potholder to slide out the food.
- Unplug the appliance when not in use.
BROIL FUNCTION
NOTE: For best results, when broiling, preheat oven for 10 minutes.
- Turn the Temperature control knob to Broil/450 setting.
- Turn the Cooking Function control knob to Broil.
- Turn the Timer control knob to 20, and then turn back or forward to desired baking time, including preheat time. Select Stay On to broil longer than 60 minutes or to control broiling time yourself. Be sure to use a kitchen timer.
- The indicator light comes on and will remain lit during the entire broiling time.
- The heating elements will cycle on and off to maintain even heat distribution.
- Once the oven has preheated, open the door and insert food on a slide rack in the upper position. Use the bake pan/drip tray under the rack to avoid drippings falling onto the heating elements.
- When finished broiling, turn the Timer control knob to Off 0. The power indicator light goes off.
- Unplug the appliance when not in use.
ROTISSERIE FUNCTION
Setting food on the rotisserie rack

Insert the pointed end of the rotisserie spit through one of the forks with pointed ends of the fork facing towards the center of the spit. Slide the fork towards the square end of the spit. Tighten the wing nut.

Insert spit through the center of food until the fork is securely embedded in food.
-
Slide the second fork onto the pointed end of spit with pointed ends facing the food.
Continue until forks are securely embedded into the food. Tighten the wing nut. -
Check that the food is centered on spit by placing the pointed end of spit into the drive socket on the right-hand side of the oven wall. Rest the square end of the spit in the support on the left-hand side of the oven well.

Insert bake pan to the lowest rack position, to catch drippings below the rotisserie spit.
Using the rotisserie function
- Turn the Temperature control knob to the desired cooking temperature.
- Turn the Cooking Function control knob to Rotisserie.
- Turn the Timer control knob to the Stay-On setting.
- When roasting is complete, turn the Timer control knob to Off 0 .
- Remove the rotisserie spit by placing the hooks of the rotisserie handle under the grooves of either side of the spit. Lift the left side first by lifting upwards. Then pull the right end of the spit of the drive socket. Carefully remove the roast from the oven.
- Open the wing nuts and remove the skewers, and remove the meat from the spit.
NOTE: Always use extreme care when removing the rotisserie spit or the slide rack/drip tray from the oven. Always use oven gloves when touching the rotisserie handle.

Quick tips for rotisserie cooking:
- Recommended MAXIMUM size of foods cooked on the rotisserie: 3½ lb chicken, 5 lb roast.
- Use kitchen twine to truss chicken wings and legs to the chicken.
- Tying roasts such as beef and pork at 1 ½-inch intervals and wrapping the twine around the length gives a neat compact shape to roasts cooked on the rotisserie.
- Begin with a cold oven.
- Once spit is in place, check that food is centered by letting the rotisserie make one full turn before cooking begins.
CARE AND CLEANING
This product contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified
service personnel.
Important: Before cleaning any part, be sure the oven is off, unplugged, and
cool.
Note: Do not allow food debris to accumulate in the oven cavity. Do not use
aerosol or spray oven cleaners.

Clean the glass door with a sponge, soft cloth, or nylon pad and dish soap and warm water. Do not use a spray cleaner.

Remove crumb tray, wire rack, air fry mesh cooking rack, rotisserie parts, and bake pan and wash them in hot water with dish soap. To remove stubborn spots, use a polyester or nylon pad.
NOTE : The rack, and air fry mesh cooking rack, are dishwasher safe. Wipe the outside of the oven with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly. -
Do not attempt to clean the heating elements. Any food that comes into contact with the elements will burn off on its own.
