sell the device, please pass these operating instructions on to the new owner.

Safety Notes
- The product is intended for private, noncommercial use only.
- Use the product for its intended purpose only.
- Protect the product from dirt, moisture, and overheating, and only use it in an adry environment.
- Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters or other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Do not use the product in areas where the use of electronic devices is not permitted.

- Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specifications.

**** Warning –Batteries
- When inserting batteries note the correct polarity (+ and -markings) and insert the batteries accordingly. Failure could so result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
- Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match the specified type.
- Before you insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and the polar contacts.
- Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
- Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of a different type or make.
- Remove the batteries from products that are not being used for an extended period (unless this arebeing kept ready for an emergency).
- Do not short-circuit batteries.
- Do not charge batteries.
- Do not throw batteries in a fire.
- Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
- Never open, damage, or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment. They can contain toxic, environmentally harmful heavy metals.
- Immediately remove and dispose of dead batteries from the product.
- Avoid storing, charging, or using the device in extreme temperatures and extremely low atmospheric pressure(for example, at high altitudes).
Getting Started
Note
This remote control is intended as a secondary or replacement remote control
for Hama radio-controlled sockets. It cannot be guaranteed that it will work
with radio-controlled sockets of other manufacturers. Open the battery
compartment on the back by
removing the four screws.
Insert the included battery into the battery compartment. Note the polarity
marked in the battery compartment. Then close the battery compartment again
using the four screws.

See the operating instructions included with the radio-controlled socket for
details.
Troubleshooting

The remote control does not work
Check whether the battery has been inserted with the poles facing the proper directions. You can check this by making sure that the label on the battery corresponds to the polarity marked inside the battery compartment. If the control LED on the remote control does not light up when you press a button, even when the battery has been inserted correctly, then it is possible that the remote control has a technical defect. If this is the case, please contact our customer service team or the retailer where you purchased this product. -
The radio-controlled socket cannot be switched on or off even though the remote control is working properly
Check that the socket in question is of Hama make and is equipped with the learning function. Repeat the steps above under “Learn the function of the radio-controlled socket” and, if necessary, contact Hama technical support or the retailer where you purchased this product.
Care and Maintenance
Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
