SETUP & USAGE
BATTERY INSTALLATION & POWER SUPPLY
- The scale can be powered with (2) “AAA” batteries or an external power supply.
Note: Batteries and power supply can be used at the same time. If used
simultaneously, the external power supply will be prioritized.
The power supply will not charge the batteries.
POWER ON
- Place the scale on a hard, flat, and level surface.
- Press the POWER key to power it on.
It will display “-188888”, then “0.000lb.”
NORMAL WEIGHING
-
Place the object in the center of the platform.
The scale will display the weight of the object when reading is stable. -
Press the UNIT key to switch between metric and imperial units.
TARE FUNCTION
- Place an item on the scale and wait for a stable weight.
- Press the TARE key to zero out the weight of the item.
POWER OFF
- When the scale is powered by batteries, it turns off automatically after (5) minutes of inactivity.
• When the scale is powered by an adapter, press the POWER key to power it off.
CLEANING & STORAGE
- Dampen a cloth with a mild soap solution to clean the scale
- Do not use any harsh chemical cleaners.
- Do not wash down or immerse the scale. Any liquid inside the scale can cause permanent damage.
- Remove batteries from the scale when they will not be used for an extended period of time.
NOTE: Save these instructions for future reference.
AVAWEIGH LIMITED WARRANTY
AvaWeigh warrants its equipment to be free from defects in material and
workmanship for a period of 1 year. This is the sole and exclusive warranty
made by AvaWeigh covering your AvaWeigh brand equipment. A claim under this
warranty must be made within 1 year from the date of purchase of the
equipment. Only the equipment’s original purchaser may make a claim under this
warranty. AvaWeigh reserves the right to approve or deny the repair or
replacement of any part or repair request. The warranty is not transferable.
AvaWeigh Equipment installed in/on a food truck or trailer will be limited to
a period of30 days from the original date of purchase.

otherwise, and HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE
IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND OF FITNESS FORA PARTICULAR
PURPOSE.
This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover:

Equipment sold or used outside the Continental United States.

AvaWeigh has the sole discretion on wearable parts not covered under warranty.

Equipment not purchased directly from an authorized dealer.

Equipment used for residential or other noncommercial purposes.

Equipment that has been altered, modified, or repaired
by anyone other than an authorized service agency. -

Damage or failure due to improper installation, improper utility connection or supply, and issues resulting from improper ventilation or airflow.

Defects and damage due to improper maintenance, wear, and tear, misuse, abuse, vandalism, or Acts of God.
Any action for breach of this warranty must be commenced within 1 year of the date on which the breach occurred. No modification of this warranty, or waiver of its terms, shall be effective unless approved in a writing signed by the parties. The laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania shall govern this warranty and the parties’ rights and duties under it. AvaWeigh shall not under any circumstances be liable for incidental or consequential damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of profits.
